    Roof insulation

I was wondering how that thin foil bubble wrap looking stuff would work. Been thinking of using it on my ceiling and behind the seat on the back of the cab. It doesn't look like much, but they use it on buildings so it should have some R value.

The clutch is here, 4500 conversion done by New Years. You hear that @frankenchevy?

The stepper has been put on the back burner. I was supposed to retire the first of the year, but was unable to. Hopefully this summer, then I can get serious about it. I have been gathering parts though, and may have found a tranny if I can convince the guy to part with the truck. I had found...

    ISO CUCV

Does he want a pickup or Blazer. Blazers seem to be cheaper, probably due to the fact that they don't have the good axles.

    Lawn Tractor Porn for Dave!

Picked this one up yesterday for $150. Needs a battery and new blades, but came with a bagger which will come in handy. Got it for mowing the rougher parts of my yard so I don’t tear up my good mower. I’ve got a couple of old Cub Cadets that I hope to restore some day, but this will work...

Front brakes lock up in panic stop

Depends on the size, mine is supposed to be 4 millimeters, you can usually pass one under 5 mm. Larger ones can be busted like you mentioned or surgically removed. They do prescribe Flomax, which supposedly opens things up a little to aid it in passing. You are lucky if you don't have a...

Front brakes lock up in panic stop

Thanks, I'm definatly looking forward to passing this dam thing, it's doubled me over in pain several times. Luckily it's getting close and the pain has receded some.

Front brakes lock up in panic stop

Yeah, I normally pump the brakes when I can. This time it was to sudden. The good news is that it pulled straight. You've all given me some good ideas on things to check, unfortunatly I'm fighting a kidney stone this week so probably won't get to it for a few days.

Front brakes lock up in panic stop

Thanks for everyones comments. It's not the tires, they are good. I'll check the adjustment on the rears, but I'm guessing it's the proportioning valve, so will pull a line and see if I get fluid when applying brakes. That's the truth, better than a horn! I understand that modern ABS systems...

Front brakes lock up in panic stop

Yeah, this doesn't seem right, seems like it locks up too easy, but I thought it might be due too the short wheelbase. I had a few hundred pounds of stuff in the back, so there should have been enough weight on the rear.

Front brakes lock up in panic stop

Some idiot pulled out in front of me in my CUCV Blazer yesterday and I had to slam on the brakes, the fronts locked up, it got a little squirley, but luckily I was able to stop before hitting them. I'm wondering if this is normal for a Blazer due to the short wheelbase, or if I have a bad...

    Any vintage motorcycle gurus?

Used to have a RD350, wish I could find one for a decent price, it was a fun bike. Plenty of guys restoring them, should be able to sell them easily.

Crew cab doors and other stuff to get me started

Welcome from the Black Hills of South Dakota. Pretty sure Suburban doors are the same. If you ever make it over this way, I have a couple of earlier rear doors (with manual windows I think) and one from a 89. Burb rear doors seem to be pretty easy to find in the boneyards around here, fronts...

They are getting hard to find, and expensive. I've had these for over 30 years, guess I should restore them some day

    Inherited Grandpa's 78 C20 - SM465 help needed!

Oops, I thought you needed a 4 wheel and had a 2 wheel, not the other way around. Can't help on the differences, but I am pretty sure someone here will know.
