96 sanden compressor into an 83

Its not hard to do yourself. Run your lines & fittings, mark them for proper orientation. Silver sharpie works great on black hose. Take them to a shop and have them crimp them for you.

Not a full brush guard, but I like it. If I come across a CUCV guard it's going on the burb.

    C20 to K20 conversion questions

I've seen it done. Easiest way is using the ORD engine crosmember, 4x4 engine mounts and spring mounts. ORD FUSH rear front spring mount to mount the front springs. Skye manufacturing makes a kit also, it has in a 6" lift built in to it. I have a c20 burb in thinking of doing it to.

I vote Blueprint. You can get it tuned, broken in, and dynoed, ready to install and go. Many years back on another forum a young man bought the big GM 572 HO. He disassembled it to verify clearances and what not and found more than a few problems he had to fix on his dime. Always stuck with me....

Can a 5/7in drop hold dirt bikes in bed without any rubbing issues

Dad had an 87 R10 long bed. Even brand new it looked lowered...odd truck that one was. 305/th350c/2.73 gears. Absolutely gutless on a 2 lane pass...put 220k on it though.

airbags. Extra suspension when you need it. Me, if I was into that sort of thing, I'd stick with 4/6. Still have a bit of flex, but able to lay frame if that's your thing.

p.s., the way my luck goes, if I wasn't prepared I'd have nothing but trouble. Whenever I'm prepared, I do alright!

I want to drive an '89 suburban 700 miles home, what should I know?

Drove my 86 burb 300 miles home, sight unseen. Drove my 79 K5 2300 miles home, sight unseen Gave them a good lookover, checked fluids, bulbs, tires. Listened for unusual sounds or vibrations. Brought lots of tools and extra fluids. Drove them with zero issues. Drove the burb for several years...

Picked up my first classic truck

If it has been sitting it's more likely than not trash in the fuel system. Plus today's gas just plain sucks. He gas pumps have labels on them saying the fuel may contain up to xx% ethanol.

Picked up my first classic truck

Dad's 87 did. Factory dual tanks. My ex kept hitting the switch whenever she drove it, setting it between tanks. Then call me saying she ran out of gas lol.

    Wanted: banks 6.2l diesel

I'd hate to use a 6.5 manifold, as it interferes with the a/c. Being an old fat man here in the South, I NEED my a/c! Lol

    1. Welcome 2. Congratulations! That is a good looking truck. You done good, as we say here in the South! I love those style wheels, but 16.5 inch tires are getting pretty rare these days. And no, a 16 inch will not fit.
