I like blue also. It has a calming effect. Didn't realize it until I got a new company truck (semi) when I was younger. The green just has a vintage vibe I like.- Big Ray

If your led's don't work the first time rotate them. They're still diodes and only flow current in one direction.- Big Ray

I use green LED's for the lighting. It gives a vintage glow that reminds me of our 69 Belair when I was a child. Those were simpler, happier times. Dad was career military, and as the years went by the stress of modern life, inflation, and what not life became not so simple or happy...- Big Ray

I have a set of General Grabbers i put on 2 years ago. They have right around 10k miles now. I do need to rotate them though. -

I recently completed an 11 day 3400 mile trip in my K5. (79) Took my dogs with me. Truck and the road beat the hell out of us. Ordered new shocks today. Got in my seat foam and upholstery already. Going to give it a shot. I need new body mounts too. If that's not enough I'll probably get new... -

Wanted: banks 6.2l diesel
Bump I've found several full kits advertised online. But, no one keeps them on hand. Apparently they order it from Banks when you order it from them. Hate to lose the diesel, I have tons of new parts for it. Glad I haven't bought the Fluidamper yet...or bought an Optimizer... Glad I don't... -

I've had mine out a time or three trying to find a speedo that works. I'm doing my best to keep it honest. The old ones pop out pretty easy. -

I brought my K5 in from CA. Had a tag, drove out and drove it back. After about 6 months NCDMV sent me a letter. They sent a Trooper out to verify the VIN. He was happy, filled out the forms. It was during the covid mess, he said the title will be in when it gets in. It did take a while. Several... -

Old thread, came across it doing an internet search. Thinking about mounting some eye bolts on top and using a tree limb. Or a contraption like in the first post. I was just thinking today is gorgeous, be a great day to take the grandkids for a spin topless.- Big Ray

I took the seat belt buzzer out of our 75 Impala way back when it was new. Per Dads "request" ahem. 2 leads. Hooked up some wires, been using it as a battery "leak" finder every since. Been through 3 divorces, a dozen moves, but I still have it. It brings back memories of good times...- Big Ray
