I picked up a proflo 1 manifold for my l29. After I score fuel rails for it I can piece the rest together. It looks like the rails are unique to the p.f. -

Are you using the stock injectors? I've heard they're only 19 lbs/hr....according to LT Tolman on y.t. He's the guy from the old Trucks show. Moved to Utah and doing his own thing now. I'll look for his video on it... -

I've used the 77 without issue several times...spray the cloth, spray the liner lay it on. Of course, ain't much as good as it use to be... -

I assumed he was getting a tranny t-case combo as the 208 was not available in 75...my bad. -

my buddy was joking me about my K5 squatting a little. Until I showed him the L29 sitting in the back lol. -

Conversion
700r4 is 2" longer than a th350. Move the crossmember back, drill some holes and you're good. May have to shorten/replace the driveshaft. There's enough trucks out there you should be able to get one from a salvage yard. Easy peasy. Th400 should be a straight swap from a th350. -

Use the 3m stuff. It works. Period. -
6 lug conversion
stick with the 8 lug, but add a hydroboost brake booster. Retina detaching braking power...! It's very effective.- Big Ray

GM 8.5" 10 bolt nightmare.
I plan on a posi for my front. Can't afford a selectable locker lol. Maybe a Detroit truetrac, if they're cheap enough You'll be happy with 4.10s. It has lots of grunt, really nice with larger tires. My K5 dd has 4.10s with 33s. Nice combination. As far as spindles go, never heard that both...- Big Ray

Me and play doh are old friends lol. With the lift on this cam valve slap is not a problem. The stock Vortec springs suck and with stock retainers max out a .470-ish valve lift, give or take. Feels like going home
I've acquired several used squares in my life. On one, the c.c. linkage was disconnected. On another, the 79, the cruisemaster servo needs attention. I'd check the vacuum lines/source. Those lines are 35 years old now.- Big Ray

It has Vortec heads..I need to install screw in studs and proper springs for the cam. Hoping I can get on it Friday...my Granddaughters school is putting on a Veterans Day "parade" for us vets today.
