Paint preparation
Chemical paint strippers are all garbage now a days. Sand blaster would work for odd shape stuff. Large flat areas I've been using a heat gun and a long handled razor blade, works great- DanMcG

Jim, Are you talking about the switch down towards the bottom of the column or the lock cylinder "switch"- DanMcG

Driver Floor Pan
I might be interested,, I need some for my 78 Edit: Looking around their site I don't see that part, do you have a pic of what you have? and I'm also curious what you originally wanted. -

The frame horns look to be 73-80 See if the partial vin is still on the right frame rail.- DanMcG

Remove Primer
Yeah, I bet it was a spray can primer so a good lacquer thinner or maybe acetone might take it off without touching the original paint.- DanMcG

I just peeled back the other side fender trim and it doesn't have the same set up either. So what I thought was an unmolested truck might have replacement fenders, or they stopped doing it for the 85's- DanMcG
