    What is this part called?

If it's a check valve, I wonder how it differs from the white check valve that's connected to the booster? Makes me wonder if the bigger black one is necessary or not. Sometimes my brakes behave as though the booster doesn't have enough air to assist with stopping the truck. If I release the...

    What is this part called?

I already put a new brake proportioning valve and gasket in (the white plastic connected to brake booster), but I'm wondering what the other part is called and what it does? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    Belt sizes

Thanks guys. I took a pic of my belts, and one of them still had the NAPA part number on it, which matched the part number their web site still shows is correct. The other belt is more worn, and I can't see a part number on it. Went ahead and stopped by NAPA, and they confirmed that both belts...

Interesting. I wonder if it changed in 1980, or if it makes a difference mine is a 3/4 ton K25? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    Belt sizes

I've got a 350 with power steering and no A/C. I would like to replace both the fanbelt/alternator and the fanbelt/power steering. NAPA shows both belts are the same exact part number. Does that sound right? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

How to determine proper shock size

Rear shocks came in early, so I put them on. Fronts should be here tomorrow (so it says). They definitely look more clean. I'll have to do the test drive tomorrow Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

How to determine proper shock size

Yeah, it's all kinda silly. They decided to push items they deem as "essential" to the front of the cue, and others they don't think are essential can wait. So if you want a fucking mask, they'll get it to you quick. But if you want a belt for your broken down vehicle, so a guy can fix his...

    Any original squares out there?

Lol. "Mostly Original", except for the wheels, mudflaps, visor, bed edge guards, bug guard, grab handle, tinted windows, plastic side window flares, and then the stuff you listed. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

How to determine proper shock size

I guess it just depends. I had the reverse happen this week. Amazon could have all the parts to me by Monday, but Rock Auto was over a month out on some of it. LMC has annoyed me over the past few months, with all the parts I've been ordering. Sometimes they get right to me. Other times (even...

How to determine proper shock size

I'm in Washington state, so technically Amazon is a brick and mortar store for me. I get to pay state sales tax, and everything lol. But yeah, they're pretty quick on most the things I order. I did notice that they are showing the shocks will be delivered on Monday. That's not two days, but also...

How to determine proper shock size

Thanks again for the help. Rock auto and Summit both have painful websites. Once I semi figured out Rock auto, some of it was in stock, and some of it was a month out. Rancho's web site is no better, and they don't want to answer their tech line for help. I ended up going with the same size...

How to determine proper shock size

OK, good to know. It's pretty jarring going over a speed bump, for example, but I don't know how much of that is normal and how much of that might be because these shocks look old and shot. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

How to determine proper shock size

By the way, I just noticed something. When I enter that RS5001 part number in the search box on Amazon, it brings up those shocks, and guess what? I have a stock 1980 K25 already entered, and it comes up in green and says they will fit my truck, even though I'm sitting on a 6" lift with 35"...

How to determine proper shock size

That's awesome info. Thank you. If I measure eye to eye, can I just do that with the current shocks installed, and the truck on level ground? Is the part number C274G1 in the picture? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

How to determine proper shock size

It's time for new shocks. I have Rancho RS500's, and I just want to buy the same ones again. Problem is, my truck has a 6" lift, and 35" tires on it, so I can't just select the shock size based off year, make and model. I'm aware of how I can remove the bottom bolt from one front and one rear...

Original GMC steering wheel. Very nice, complete

From what I understand, they had this steering wheel as standard from about '78 all the way to 87. During that time, they also offered the deluxe steering wheel, that has more of a clear flat plastic horn button. That went on Sierra and Silverado, for example. Beyond that, not sure about trim...
