    Rag joint question

With the truck off, if I grab the steering shaft by the rag joint, I can rotate it left and right. I can look up through my windshield and see the steering wheel move. Is there some sort of rubber that gives where it connects to the power steering box? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    What is this part called?

According to LMC, 78+ had the filter. If one is missing in that date range, chances are someone removed it. Edit to change hear to 78 Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    What is this part called?

That's a very good explanation, and very well could explain what's going on. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    What is this part called?

Lol. Maybe I made that sound a lot more dramatic than it is (or you're just taking it that way). Sometimes for the past 5 months or so, the brake pedal feels like I have to press a little harder to stop. If I let off and press it again, everything feels like it should Sent from my SM-N975U1...

    What is this part called?

Took the truck for a test drive today. It's no better and no worse than before swapping out the filter. It probably just filters out any gases from entering the booster better now. I must have some air in my brake lines Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    What is this part called?

Mine is a 3/4 ton K2500 4X4, and NAPA anyway shows that this part is correct for my truck Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    Rag joint question

I have some slop in mine too (I guess that's where it's coming from). With the truck off, I can spin the whole shaft left and right an inch or two. The steering wheel inside the truck moves when I do this, but nothing else moves. Is that the shaft having an issue? Also, why use a Jeep part, vs...

3 alternators in less than 6 months

That's ridiculous for them to say. As though breaking down on the side of the road, and then having to get towed, remove the old part as core for the exchange, go to the store to exchange the part, head back home and take the time to install the part FOR THE THIRD TIME is no big deal. The lack...

    What is this part called?

Yeah, at first I just thought the cut plastic was making a mess, but then it got everywhere and I figured out what was going on. It was all over the workbench and the floor. I didn't blow any air through it. Really curious to do a test drive tomorrow now Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    What is this part called?

OK, guys. I removed the old one and installed the new one. It's late and I haven't taken it for a test drive, but I DID do surgery on the old one [emoji6] I don't know if this is normal, but I doubt it. Once I cut in to it, all this charcoal like dust dumped out everywhere. There's a clothlike...

Now that I know what it's called, I was able to buy one at NAPA for like $8, so I'll just change it out Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    What is this part called?

Since you can't bother to give any reasons as to why they were pulled off, and what problems people were experiencing, I'm going to go with the GM engineers on this one, and replace the current part with a new one. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
