    8 MPG?

I've got headers and Flowmaster exhaust. Sounds great. I don't drive like a grandma, but I don't drive like a kid with Dad's Camaro either. Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Front and rear diff/transfer drain and fill

2 1/2 - 3 quarts, I think. Maybe I'll just get some 80w90 full synthetic. Think it's quite a bit cheaper than the 75w-140 Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Front and rear diff/transfer drain and fill

I still have some Full synthetic 75w-140 Lucas gear oil left over. Would that be a good choice? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Front and rear diff/transfer drain and fill

Front has been drained and filled. New gasket, fresh diff fluid, and a clean coat of black bed liner. Glad to be finished with this project. Thanks for your help, everyone Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Proper way to bolt positive battery cable to starter?

That works too, although if it sits there and rubs against the heat shrink, it can then make contact with something it shouldn't, metal to metal. If a 90° bend is put in it, this shortens the footprint of the entire end and puts it out of the way of being able to ever touch anything. Suppose one...

Proper way to bolt positive battery cable to starter?

I got this resolved. Did a nice 90° bend in the end and got it all buttoned up Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    8 MPG?

That's a good point. Somehow the speedometer is on. I have verified it with GPS, and also those radar speed signs that show your speed when you drive by a school zone or whatever. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    8 MPG?

I'm not sure what cam it has. The EGR valve is brand new, as is every single hose, hose fitting, and clamp. I'll have to run it again, but closer to the engine, because the one I chose to use was the longest and easiest hose to get to, which was the brake booster hose. Also, I'm at 2,000 feet...

I think you're right. I even checked LMC, and theirs is generic Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Second fuel tank leaks some of the time

Is the vent hose the little 3" or so hose at the top with the angled cut to it? Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Lol. That would have been me. I found out she was thinking of selling, before she actually put it up for sale. I was patient as I could be and then was able to make the deal Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Proper way to bolt positive battery cable to starter?

I'm guessing as long as it's bent once and left, it should be fine, vs bending back and forth multiple times will of course weaken the metal Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    8 MPG?

I probably do, based off how it sounds and how everything else was built, but I don't know for sure. Crate motor was put in by the PO. One thing I just thought of though. When I connected the gauge, I removed the fitting where it connects to the brake booster. Should I have done it closer to...

    8 MPG?

Lol. Or maybe timing just needs to be adjusted, or like the manual with the gauge says... If you're in a higher altitude climate (which I am), things can be a little off from what the gauge says is normal, and you can still be in the normal range Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Are you talking about a gauge like this? This is the best I could get it adjusted a few weeks ago when I did it Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Proper way to bolt positive battery cable to starter?

I replaced my battery and both cables a week ago just as preventive maintenance. Everything is running fine, but when I was under the truck today draining and filling the front diff, I jiggled the positive battery cable and there was a spark and then it turned over the starter and tried to...

I know we don't drive these trucks because they get good mileage. Just trying to make sure I have mine dialed in and I'm getting all I can. 1980 GMC K2500 3/4 ton, 35" mud tires, 6" lift, crate 350 motor recently refreshed with new plugs/wires/cap/rotor/K&N/all new synthetic fluids everywhere...
