Where do the engine bay decals go?

LMC says these are all for an '80, other than the emission control one, which they say is for 79 but none at all for 80. I went ahead and got it, since my truck was likely built in 79 anyway Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Where do the engine bay decals go?

I bought this one, so that's helpful. Thanks

Where do the engine bay decals go?

It really isn't needed in the Northwest. Put the windows down, open the floor vents, and you're golden. AC is just more fluff, more stuff to break, and more expense Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Where do the engine bay decals go?

There's a coolant one, something about the routing of the belts and hoses, and maybe one other. Oh, and the "keep your GM sticker" for the air cleaner that I'll leave off seeing as I have a K&N with Edelbrock cover lol Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    Fuel leaks down?

I'm guessing you aren't pressing the accelerator 3-5 times to the floor and back prior to trying to start it? Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Where do the engine bay decals go?

My truck had a frame off restoration and repaint, and all the stickers were removed in the process from under the hood. LMC sells them, so I bought all the correct ones for a 1980. Are there pictures or drawings that show where they are supposed to go? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Where do you mount your fire extinguisher?

Sounds like a lot of fuss to take it from vehicle to vehicle, not to mention easy to forget it and not have it when you need it. I'd maybe buy one or two more as funds permit. Also, these have an expiration date. Check the one you have to make sure it didn't already expire Sent from my SM-T720...

    1980 gmc jimmy steering stabilizer

I have an 80 GMC, and the Rancho steering stabilizer bolts right in to the factory spot and it comes with the bolts. It made a huge difference in handling. Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Where do you mount your fire extinguisher?

Here's what I ended up doing. I found a nice metal bracket that bolts to the underside of the bench seat front metal lip to existing holes. It puts it in a convenient to reach spot, but yet it doesn't interfere. Looks cool too! Here's a link to the bracket...

Time for this beast to get a CB Radio LOL

I just used an existing screw in the area you see it. It works, but could always be moved. I just hate to drill holes for it, especially since it seems like it would be angled kinda funny Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

Those screws didn't line up right with my mount, so I had to put it just below it Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Time for this beast to get a CB Radio LOL

Most people mount it under the stereo, but I didn't care for that. Too close to the gas pedal. The way I mounted it still allows the ash tray to open and close without any issues also Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Dome light door switches. How to change without twisting wire?

My dome light works when I turn the headlight switch, but not when I open the doors. Both doors have switches. I started by loosening the passenger side switch, but I could tell as I unscrewed it, I could hear the power wire twisting inside, and it almost seems like there's resistance there. I...

My truck is doing something weird

I could be wrong, but here's how I see it. You need to adjust your carb. Whether it's the idle, lean/rich mixture, or both I think that's your problem. A couple weeks ago when I was dialing in my carb, there were a couple times l got something off a bit, and it would diesel on after turning off...

    Timing a 350

New vacuum hoses all around are cheap and easy. Same with carb plugs. I'd do that and then let it idle and spray carb spray around the base of the carb and any of the fittings or carb plugs. If it changes the idle temporarily, you have a leak there. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

My truck is doing something weird

Check your idle. Also, might be you're running too rich, and the carb needs to be leaned out. Have you started using different octane fuel? Have you started using ethanol based fuel? They might be effecting how your carb runs. Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk

    Grille Trim

I feel your pain. I bought all new grille and trim pieces from Brother's. Complete junk when I opened the box. And it would cost me more to ship it back than I paid for it. So, I polished and painted my stock pieces, and the new junk is getting built in to a wall hanger for the garage Sent...
