Headlight relays from LMC going bad.

I would use true Bosch or Hella relays. I like the weatherproof Hellas I wouldn't even mess with those LMC relays. but now that you have that kit you are stuck with that style relay unless you redo it. highdesertranger

What Did You Do For Edelbrock ATV Cable 79 K20

I have always used the factory bracket. cut off the passenger side so it fits. the one bolt and round smooth stud is enough to hold it in place. if you don't think that's enough put a extender bar in and weld the pieces back together. highdesertranger

Can Someone Please Tell Me What This Is?

1/4 inch pipe plugs are not the right plug. they are flare fittings you need flare plugs. however the 1/4 pipe plugs do work and most people use them, me included. just don't try to force them in all the way they will only go in a few threads because of the tapper. highdesertranger

    Burban c20 14 bolt ff to k10 ?

the u-joints probably won't be the same. if it was me I would put a new yoke on the transfer case that uses the bigger u-joint and then have a new drive shaft made with the bigger u-joints. highdesertranger

nobody mentioned this but that crack is on the starter ear. it's not all that uncommon to crack there with normal use. nobody took into account it could have been shipped this way. highdesertranger

    starter heat shield...aluminum or blanket?

yes and the age of the wire is also a factor, but I found that even if you put a new wire on it sill might do it every once in a while. actually I like it because it takes all those wires off the starter where they are hard to get to and moves them up to the new solenoid were access is easy...

    starter heat shield...aluminum or blanket?

the factory solenoid is hot wired straight to the main battery cable with a short piece of wire. then a ford starter solenoid is out on the main cable. the wire that used to energize the stock solenoid is moved to the ford solenoid. another thing that you must do is move all the wires that go...

    Speedometer Cable Discovery!

as a note the cables with the knurled nuts at both ends are for cruise control. note #2 if the cable doesn't want to click into the speedo, unscrew the end at the trans/transfer case. this allows the cable to move a little so it goes together easier. when you go to reconnect the other end...

Anybody use these low tension hood springs?

when you close your hood do NOT pull it straight down. push it in(towards the windshield) at the same time you pull it down. doing it that way and properly lubed hinges and you will never bend the hood. plus it will close real easy. highdesertranger
