    Truck is walking while driving

you said it has a 4" lift. does it have a raised steering arm? if it doesn't the frame is cracked. highdesertranger

Add 2" to the front end of an existing Lift

the reason I said they are 2 inch is the angle of the drag link. it appears there is not a raised steering arm installed, and the offset appears to be minimal. highdesertranger

    Sloppy Window Crank Handle?

I am just telling you what the foam is for. if you want to make it into something it's not, to take up slop that's your business. if it were me I would fix the problem and not mickey mouse it. highdesertranger

    Turn signal lever

yep better not yank on it. there is a screw holding it in place. highdesertranger

    Sloppy Window Crank Handle?

that foam piece is meant to stop drafts, not to make the handle tighter. if your handle is sloppy it's probably worn out or it's a cheap Chinese replacement. highdesertranger

    Ignition switch vs ignition lock

adjust the switch. the new switch should have come with adjustment instructions or get them from a manual. highdesertranger

Here is a weird one for you...

instead of just buying parts and hoping that's the problem. why don't you find the trouble shooter flow chart, find out the real problem and fix it. highdesertranger

Add 2" to the front end of an existing Lift

ok it looks like 2 inch front springs. if they are, just install 4 inch springs make sure you install a steering arm too. highdesertranger

Add 2" to the front end of an existing Lift

for me to make a recommendation over one pic is hard. let me ask this can you post some better pics? does it have a raised steering arm? the reason I ask about the steering arm is the angle of the arm is what led me to believe the springs were shot. highdesertranger

Add 2" to the front end of an existing Lift

it appears the arch has gone out of those springs. either that or they are only 2" lift springs. highdesertranger

    Change from 2:73 to 3:73

it's not the housing you have to worry about. it's the carrier. that's probably a 10 bolt in your truck. I am just guessing but I would say yes you will have to change the carrier. I personally wouldn't put that kind of money in a 10 bolt. now maybe you could find a used one and swap them...

    SM465 getting hot?

how hot is hot? if the fluid is getting hot you have a bearing going out. which is likely if you were a quart low. highdesertranger

    Fuel Sender question

so put a sending unit in from a mechanical pump gasser. you still have the wrong sock. highdesertranger

    Fuel Sender question

you realize the socks are different for gas. if you put a diesel sending unit in you would then need to change the sock. next question why didn't you just put a gasser sending unit in? highdesertranger

    Fuel Sender question

my question would be, why put an after market gauge in. the diesel sending units would still work with gas just change the sock. seems like a lot of trouble for a 10 buck part. highdesertranger

What is the oil pressure supposed to be?

before replacing an engine I would verify the oil pressure. do this with a good mechanical gauge. do not trust electronic gauges. highdesertranger
