    TACH ON DIESEL MODEL TRUCK

yes but the 6.2 didn't get put in until 1982 and the OP said it was a 1979 which would be a 5.7. there are several ways to have a tach on a 6.2 but I don't believe the factory put them in, at least that's what I have been told. highdesertranger

    TACH ON DIESEL MODEL TRUCK

well if it is a 1979 and it was a diesel that would be the 5.7 liter diesel. I was told the square body diesels never came with a tach. interesting. highdesertranger

Can't find new rear hubs for '74

so this guy installed new drums and left the old shoes? he is no mechanic. new shoes should ALWAYS be installed with new drums. in fact with the 14ff I prefer to do a complete brake job, just because it's such a pain in the ass taking the hubs and drums off. also before buying anything I...

Has anyone used Wintergreen oil to soften rubber seals?

bingo on the Simple Green. I am surprised you guys didn't know this. Simple Green works wonders on old dried out rubber. the more dried out the longer you soak it. highdesertranger
