Don't know if it was luck or what but I had the same problem. I walked out to the shop and grabbed a pair of 18" instead of 16" and they fit fine. Same cheap brand on both sets.
Scouts had a narrower rear track as well, and the travelall as well. Seems pretty common in the 70s on vehicles with front leaf springs, especially when the 40* steer axles came out. There had to be enough clearance for full steer without hitting the springs.
Might have been easier for the...
I hope you are right? For some reason I have it in my head that the locking hub won't clear the center hole and will probably hit leafs on full turn?
Thank you
Will newer suburban wheels fit? I know the bolt pattern is the same. I'm just wondering if the center hole is the same. I'm guessing the backspace is different and may need spacers? Please let me know, tires for 15s are out of control and usually have a set of 17s half tread or so around so tires...
I have what looks to a harness coming out of the fuse box. No cuts I can see. I will never go back to diesel in this rig. I know how hard it is to find these pieces when needed lol
Yes you all are correct but I don't have options like that where I live. I tried double nutting them to remove but they are weak and just bend. I would be super happy to just know what size I need in bolts if anyone knows. Thanks
Ok so I just bought a new water pump and it didn't come with the studs.
Anybody have a part number? Or what size replacement bolts are? Gates pump 43099

I do have those colors and will try that thanks. Also my purple wire is connected to the relay but nothing else. Maybe it came unplugged I will have do some digging. This is a front and rear ac and heat burb,so there is a lot going on in that area. Thanks everyone
Im
Looking to take the relays out of the equation and the fan switch inside the cab. Just want to run a jumper wire from battery straight to the blower motor, without tearing the ac plenum apart. Thanks so much
Ok so I have tagged on to a post below about heater blower motor. It's getting cold up north.
I honestly need to know what wire will trigger the blower motor, directly off the battery. I'm not trying to start throwing parts at it.
I bought the relay that the purple wire goes into and connects...
