    hey all, iv got a 78 short bed scottsdale with 350 with a qjet , does this year truck have a strainer sock on the end of pick up tube , i put new fuel pump on ran good for a day then back to same ol thing have to prime it to start thanks for all the info

    u better have the engine to go with the 514 gears. they are not street gears nor are they 1/4 mile gears they are 1/8th mile , u said u want to run 55 mph on the hwy like i said u better have the engine or that 327 will have a short life

    i think u need to look at your timing all gen 1 small blocks run around 34 to 36 total timing, thats one of your over heating problems , the next is get u a thermostat in it , coolant is going through the system to fast to cool it down . how mutch total timing are u running?. do u have a shroud...

    just picking a cam out and sticking it in an engine is not the way to do it. u need to flow your heads as was stated before. if your heads only flow enough for a 450 lift then a bigger cam is not the way to go, good luck.

    dist not set up wright , sounds like its a tooth or 2 off would not drive it like that.

    as soon as u open the throttle there should be gas coming out of the squirters if not u are going to get a stumble due to going lean , thats why i said make sure your acc pump is set, the arm should just touch the pump

    hey all im new here , was reading the problem with the 670 carb , first off what engine do u have is it stock or mild ,first off run cam on number 1 setting then set your acc pump arm so it has 10 to 15 thou between pump arm and acc pump itself u should be fine with the squirters it came with...
