    Well, if you are hitting the bump stops often, then is time. if not, the "worn" springs will ride softer than new ones. Moog has several springs for the front, you may want to research and get the lightest rated ones.

    Did you try opening a door, one at a time, and pushing in that switch, see if lights go out? You also will be able to tell if it fell apart, as==no spring pressure. Be aware most of those had a interior lamp control module, and it then takes 30-45 seconds for the lights to dim and go out. Also...

    Well you are not using the in tank pump. So, did you remove the in tank pump, use a different year sender/pickup unit, or remove the pump, and just add a piece of fuel hose, or just slap the outside pump on?

    Well, factory is a in tank electric. When converted, did they remove the pump inside? If not, it probably still has a "sock", and it is plugged.
