Planning on going next year in 2025. Wanna run parts of old Route 66 going and see old history of the Mother Road. It's a 3,000 or so mile round trip from here. Trying to get more local truck guys to commit......... -

Truckin' the Trace November 1 - 2, Tupelo, MS
Not sure how many trucks were there, but the lot was pretty full. I'd guess 400 at least. Temps in the low 80s. Always a nice happening ! -
Sirius/XM "Roady" with original GM truck radio
Wondering if adding the Sirius/XM "Roady" to an original GM squarebody 2700 truck radio is possible? I had one in one of my S-10s years ago. Worked great. Anyone have experience with the connection and difficulty of doing this? I understand the subscription part.- PeteJr

Looks really good, Larry !. When I redid my gauges I added a tach and a smaller fuel gauge down to where the clock was on mine. I put the aluminum gauge bezel on and it keep popping off, so removed it. I like the look of the black better. Repainted the silver rings around the gauges with a... -

Yes, it has run for 1,549 miles since I started it. been to a couple short outta town car shows (50-100 miles) Followed their priming, etc instructions, break in oil, etc. Oil pressure is always about 55 lbs. going down the road. That one push rod was laying in the head, it's not bent or... -

Rick those heads have big carved out areas in the middle (not every push rod has a smaller hole). Allows the push rod to move around as opposed to a smaller hole to keep it straighter. Just my three mechanic friends and my opinion. I'll post what Summit/BP tells me. -

Cranked mine up two days ago to back it out so I could clean up smy hop. Cranked it up to pull it back in the shop and it is now making a terrible noise. I'm guessing dropped, broken valve or rocker arm or all of the above. Hope I'm wrong. When I relax & get my info together, I'll call... -

Rick, Here's my deal: 1983 GMC Sierra Classic, short bed, original 700R4 (rebuilt) with original 2.73 rear gear. Blueprint 350 "cruiser" & according to their dyno sheet, 355 HP with a 600 Holley carb on 87 octane gas. I have 235/75/15 tires on original rally wheels. Other than rebalanced... -

Mine's a 350, 355 HP, 700R4 & 2.73 gear.......... Good for the highway at 70 - 75 MPH. Not as much fun at 45 MPH. -
