never jerk a stuck truck with a chain

I had a different issue. I did use a chain to pull a guy out who was stuck in a snow drift. We tried to dig first and just couldn't get it so I was tugging on him for quite some time and did yank him a few times. After a while my truck started running really rough and died. At first I thought...

    Headlights flickering...

Thanks, I'll still go ahead and try a new switch, then have one of my electrician buddy's help me with a relay.

    Headlights flickering...

I am assuming the newer made switches are designed to handle the extra current drawn by the newer bulbs...

I might just start with a new switch then and go from there... Thanks

    Headlights flickering...

First off, I probably know and understand less about wiring than anyone on this board, LOL... I replaced all 4 headlights in my K 20 (it started life as a 77 but has an 86 body on it.). The headlights had been in it for 15 years and a couple were burnt out. I just went with stock replacements...

    Rebuilding my dash pad.

This is a long video but this guy is a true pro and makes an art look easy. I thought if I could get mine to look 40% as good as his I would be happy. Couldn't get close so I bought an aftermarket replacement.

    Pure SEX!

May get flamed for this but the only vettes I like are the old 60's models and the new mid engine models.

Time for new shocks. Look at these!

My current 3/4 ton long bed is my first ever square body. I've had it for about 20 years now and when I bought it I put new shocks on it a couple weeks after getting it home. The shocks that were on it were complete toast. I could turn it up and down and the shock would slide in and out...

9th Annual Square Body Farm Gathering Richmond In

Yeah, the weather held off, it was a little warm around here but other than that no issues. We've had some pretty bad storms and tornado's in these parts the last few weeks.

9th Annual Square Body Farm Gathering Richmond In

Despite living 30 miles west of there I will/have not been able to make it. Had to work yesterday and do some work for our school in the afternoon. Back to the school this morning and my son is playing in a golf tournament in about an hour. Hopefully next year I can bring my truck over... I...

I think this show in RIchmond is coming up again next weekend. I might try to make it over as I only live about 35 minutes from there. I have to see what my schedule looks like next weekend.

Any Tricks for stuck oil filter ?

I've always heard people say the screwdriver thing, but I always figured if it was tight enough a wrench wouldn't get it off, the screw driver would just cut through the metal. I'm surprised they are tough enough to handle that....

Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

When I bought my K20 used it had come from the factory with auto locking hubs, however the owner had switched them out for manual hubs. A good friend of mine who is a mechanic said "lets see if they did this right". I am not a mechanic and don't remember what he said (its been 20 years ago)...

    Roof lights

I just assumed the cab lights on my truck were stock as it seems like a lot of trouble to get the wiring run up in that cavity etc. (especially just for lights). After I posted a pic on here about them I was told they are not factory, based on the lights themselves plus the location and...

    No start, no lights…

I took my last battery to one shop and they stuck it on a tester and said it was good 20 seconds later. I then took it to my local Carquest and they have a load tester, that took like 45 minutes. The print out showed it was bad. Some kid with a voltmeter at Autozone saying it has 12 volts its...

Where do I buy new interior kit?

I used LMC trim pieces with my new headliner. I bough all the pieces, the screws etc. Mine did have factory headliner and trim so the holes were pre drilled. Of all the pieces I think every hole lined up except for 2 or 3. By that time it was simple to just drill a quick hole and keep moving...

Where do I buy new interior kit?

Can say on the door panels but I bought all the interior trim and a headliner from LMC and it was fine. I bought my dash from Truck Parts in CA. I was happy with it.

81 350 SBC is farked, about to replace with 350 SBC bought locally

Assuming the guy your getting the engine from is doing the LS swap himself off him some cash to do your swap. Might help him get some money to pay for his SWAP. Feel him out a little but if he is going his own LS swap he should be able to drop his old motor in your truck in an day.

    Edelbrock electric choke question.

The truck runs great, the only issue I have is the electric choke won't shut off until the temps gets pretty high. I assume that is the choke pull off? I looked at a few videos and everyone seems to say loosening the three screws on the black part of the choke and turning it counterclockwise...

    Edelbrock electric choke question.

I have an older EB carb with Electric choke, I think a 1406 but not 100% certain. It's 10 plus years old. My question is, is there an adjustment to control how quickly one can shut the choke off? I know as it is warming/warmed up you can pump the throttle quickly to shut it off. However on...
