Fuel Valve replacement (I made it worse)
Are you sure that both tanks aren't 1/2 full?? Also, make sure you get the correct rocker switch, but I think the factory harness plug dictates what kind you need as the pin location is different.- mtbadbob

The sensor by the distributor is a "pressure sensor", the one by the filter is sending unit for the gauge.- mtbadbob

That surround is 1979 only. The only year for round eyes with the signals incorporated into the surround. Also, my uncle had a '77 K20 w/400, and he bought it new that way. Back in the day when I was really into car audio, Pioneer was the only systems I would run. That being said, yellow wire was ALWAYS illumination. Well, I completely agree with what you said, but if you're wanting a sporty look & resale, the short C10's will generally bring more money. If you want the best riding, best towing truck out there, get a long box dually crew cab! It's like driving a school bus but offers the best of everything... -

Yeah, but a shortbox C10 is more desirable than a long box C20. I'm not one to pay over $5k for a 2wd C20 myself, but to each his own. -

What is this?
You can run a jumper wire from the 12v supply(red)from the relay to the blower motor. If you get high speed on your blower then, it's probably the relay. Also inspect your resister to make sure none of the coils are burned in two. -

Why did GM route Circuit Number 30 Fuel Gauge to Tank Unit as they did?
It must be done that way because it was the simplest if the truck was equipped with the "auxiliary" tank and so the fuel gauge worked on both tanks.- mtbadbob

Blower fan/relay
You should just be able to hook up a wire directly from the battery & to the blower terminal. 12v's is 12v's. Do you have a stab tester to test the purple wire from the relay to the blower motor? The key has to be on before the relay sends the voltage to the motor. Also, pull the resistor out of...- mtbadbob

There is supposed to be a single wire from the relay to the blower motor. I'm thinking it is purple. There should be a big red wire that runs to the relay. Once the key is on, the relay throws 12v to the single terminal on the blower. I just had an issue with mine where I had the voltage to the...- mtbadbob
