I agree, I'm kind of a purist myself! Although, I've owned 3-6.0L's and would love that power in my '87!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! If it's a C, then I'd rather have a shorty myself. I've had my fair share of C lwb's, in fact I've never owned a swb out of over a dozen Chevy trucks, including a few K's. I guess my first truck was a '53 3100 shorty, but that's been the only one. Now, I...

Fuel Valve replacement (I made it worse)

Are you sure that both tanks aren't 1/2 full?? Also, make sure you get the correct rocker switch, but I think the factory harness plug dictates what kind you need as the pin location is different.

    Help with malfunctioning cluster.

Why would you pull off the speedo needle to get at the circuit board??

    Help with malfunctioning cluster.

The sensor by the distributor is a "pressure sensor", the one by the filter is sending unit for the gauge.

What have you done to your square lately??

That is a steal, looks clean!

What have you done to your square lately??

Installed my new JET performance EPROM today, and honestly, I can't tell the difference! I also re-spliced the connector on my oil sending unit as it was hanging on by only a few strands. I did NOT stabilize my pressure reading, and I had changed the sending unit last summer. Thursday I changed...

Chevy Replacement Grill with 350 emblem option

That surround is 1979 only. The only year for round eyes with the signals incorporated into the surround. Also, my uncle had a '77 K20 w/400, and he bought it new that way. I believe that 1977 could have been the last year of the engine displacement in the grille. I don't recall seeing them in...

    Unusual radio issue

Back in the day when I was really into car audio, Pioneer was the only systems I would run. That being said, yellow wire was ALWAYS illumination. You'd hook it up to the headlight switch and the unit would illuminate when the lights were on, and also you could dim the unit with the instrument...

    Nice truck! Welcome from Montana

    What is this?

That makes more sense, and my Monte probably had a blown resistor that I didn't even know I had back then, as I was only 18!

    What is this?

Years ago, I had a '76 Monte and I only had low speed fan control. I unplugged the relay and ran a jumper in the harness to give me high speed all the time. That being said, I believe the relay is responsible for the speed variables, as 12v is going into it, and it seems to change the fan speed...

What is my new squarebody??? Need help!

It's very possible that they just used the sheet metal off the Mil truck and just painted it. There are some really good painters out there that'll replicate a factory paint job to a t. Who knows, maybe the box is original, and the po just used the cab w/vin and painted to match. Several...

Well, I completely agree with what you said, but if you're wanting a sporty look & resale, the short C10's will generally bring more money. If you want the best riding, best towing truck out there, get a long box dually crew cab! It's like driving a school bus but offers the best of everything...

    USA-1 Seat Covers

Does anyone know who makes these covers with the logo's on them? Are these pic's from 2 different upholstery shops? It looks like the same manufacturer of the covers, I'd like to check them out. My interior is Charcoal, but I have one cover that is black, and one charcoal that I'm trying to...

Yeah, but a shortbox C10 is more desirable than a long box C20. I'm not one to pay over $5k for a 2wd C20 myself, but to each his own.

    Front Fender Well Inspection Covers?

    USA-1 Seat Covers

I think they use customers for a lending company.

    What is this?

You can run a jumper wire from the 12v supply(red)from the relay to the blower motor. If you get high speed on your blower then, it's probably the relay. Also inspect your resister to make sure none of the coils are burned in two.

    Blower fan/relay

I believe its purple that runs from the relay to blower on the '87's

Why did GM route Circuit Number 30 Fuel Gauge to Tank Unit as they did?

It must be done that way because it was the simplest if the truck was equipped with the "auxiliary" tank and so the fuel gauge worked on both tanks.

    Blower fan/relay

You should just be able to hook up a wire directly from the battery & to the blower terminal. 12v's is 12v's. Do you have a stab tester to test the purple wire from the relay to the blower motor? The key has to be on before the relay sends the voltage to the motor. Also, pull the resistor out of...

    87 blower motor

There is supposed to be a single wire from the relay to the blower motor. I'm thinking it is purple. There should be a big red wire that runs to the relay. Once the key is on, the relay throws 12v to the single terminal on the blower. I just had an issue with mine where I had the voltage to the...

    Front Fender Well Inspection Covers?
