My stock 350 TBI runs about 60 on the factory gauge at highway speeds. It'll idle down to about 35, and I've changed the gauge once, a new sending unit & new connection at the sender. I also cleaned the contacts to the cluster really well when I had it apart a year or so ago. I've yet to check...
I'm in the same boat, po cut the kink/twist out of line & spliced with a short piece of rubber fuel line. I may install a new hard line this spring. Little idiocies like that drive me crazy!
This tube is for a core support intake. Where does the air cleaner point? I think that is why it was a little short for mine, as the air cleaner snorkel kicks off at almost a 90. Some, possibly yours, runs off at about a 45 toward the battery. The snorkel end is oval.
That's a Rochester Quadrajet, but all your identifying numbers are on the other side above where the throttle linkage hooks up. Get those numbers and that'll tell you what you have & the build date.
Is that nipple at the top right of carb the same size? I just can't recall exactly what it should hook to. I would think off the intake somewhere, but not 100% sure.
No, the 81-89 dash is different, you need '73-'80. Bone yard or new aftermarket. You should be able to find a non-a/c insert pretty easily. I have a sweet square honey hole junkyard I could look for you if you'd want to pay for shipping from MT.
Those aren't OEM valve covers anyway, they came on factory replacement motors like the Target Master. It looks like that's the drivers side cover, not sure what'd be for??
They are not supposed to be tee'd like that near each other. The sending unit is supposed to be down on left side of block by the filter. The Coolant Temp Sensor is for the TBI system & should be a 2 pinned plug. The temp sending unit is on the side of the block & is usually a single clip-on...
I bought the urethane dash made by Dashes Direct & it has a few fitment issues. I may sell it and buy the vinyl one instead. Hopefully, they fit better!
It's a 1987. I did a complete "Refurbish" on it's appearance, replaced almost every bearing & bushing in the entire suspension. I did sell it last spring though! Added DG performance exhaust, really brappy & torquey little machine! Wheelies were super-easy. The headlight shrouds were a bit of a...
