    Coolant for C20 w/ 350

Don't waste your money, keep running the green stuff. To help out your water pump you can even add a water pump lube if you want to. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

    Coolant for C20 w/ 350

The green stuff works just as well. Just change it out every two years. You can run it in the newer cars. The older brass and copper radiators don't get along well with the Dexcool. The newer cars run aluminum and plastic in their cooling systems. I just put an aluminum heater core in my 87 V-20...

    Coolant for C20 w/ 350

DexCool is crap. Use the inexpensive green coolant and replace it every two years. The electrical current running through our trucks breaks down the coolants protective additives over time. I have seen alot of cooling system failures due to DexCool 5 year coolant. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350...

    Replace thermostat without draining fluid?

Cheese cloth works well also for filtering coolant. Use anti-sieze on your housing bolt threads. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

    8 MPG?

With 35's and 4:10 gears/turbo 400 I'm 5 miles faster than what my speedometer reads in my 87 V-20. I average 12 miles per gallon. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

Proper way to bolt positive battery cable to starter?

Protect your ignition wires, and the positive cable down at the starter. Headers, and exhaust manifolds cook em. I use Cool It Thermal Sleeving. It's made by Thermal Tech. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

Non AC truck. Should the dial slide all the way to cool?

Good job, I just replaced my heater core. Did you replace the foam weatherstripping wherever you had a duct connection?. I used 1/4 inch window weatherstripping tape from Home Depot and it worked great. No leaks. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

    Lower Radiator Hose

Make sure you flush out the cooling system to get everything flowing clean and clear. I use a garden hose with enough pressure to get the water flowing. I flush the heater core seperately. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

1/2 ton lower control arm washers (retainers)

cheapest source would be a wrecking yard for used washers. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

    Lower Radiator Hose

The new one can be a pain going on too. Put a little bit of liquid dish soap on it and it should go on fairly easily. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

How do I know if I have HEI, and if I don't have it, should I upgrade

I haven't but I've heard of them. I've always had real good luck with Blue Streak ignition parts. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

How do I know if I have HEI, and if I don't have it, should I upgrade

Actually 87 and up. I've got TBI in my 87 V-20. It's a different style of High Energy Ignition. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

How do I know if I have HEI, and if I don't have it, should I upgrade

It should still have a coil in the cap if it's aftermarket HEI. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

How do I know if I have HEI, and if I don't have it, should I upgrade

I like Standard Blue Streak Cap, Rotors, and Coils. AC Delco Parts quality isn't what it used to be. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

73-87 Square Body Parts For Sale

It's hard to find a good tilt column out here on the west coast. May just have the tube on mine repaired. Wish I still had a 2nd car to drive, I would've pulled the column last week. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

Stalls when pressing gas too fast

Your cables should be for side terminal batteries. Get a battery that will fit your tray. Your tray should have a side mount clamp. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

Stalls when pressing gas too fast

Yes NAPA batteries are manufactured by Exide. Always get the biggest battery you can get because hot, and cold weather, can really cause a strain on a battery. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

    Proper spark plug gap?

Should be listed on the emission sticker that's either on the air cleaner housing, or the top radiator mounting plate. My 87's by the radiator. Clayton Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk

Stalls when pressing gas too fast

If you can try to go through a battery dealer who rotates their stock often. NAPA batteries are ok since Exide redid their internal plate design to help with battery discharge. I like Interstate but actually switched back to Exide last November because I got a lower price and a 3 year free...
