    Cup Holders?

I just screwed a piece of probably 3.5 inch scrap PVC pipe to the inside of my drivers door. I did not want to hold drinks between my legs for the next 120 miles, so I made it work.

    1995 Chevrolet Sudurban Carb Swap

I know, I am going to put an HEI Distributor despite the fact that it ran with the TBI one. I have the transmission part sorted all ready, all it needs is a sinewave from the distributor (With the right circuit, I could provide this signal with a points distributor) as well as a value from the...

    1995 Chevrolet Sudurban Carb Swap

I am thinking of swapping the original 330k tbi unit for a Rochester 2jet Carburetor. I have the carb and the intake, I am just wondering about a few things regarding the swap. It has never really ran right with the TBI unit, so I want to just get rid of fuel injection all together Back in...

    194 to 250 Head Swap

I am pretty sure everything lines up, the only difference between the 194 block and the 230/250 block is the bore and probably water jackets. I have been told that the cam, pushrods, and rockets are the same.

    Skip White Distributors

Why don't you just spray paint the cap white?

    194 to 250 Head Swap

I got all of the torque specs and the pattern sheet in my Chiltons book, I am just worried that the higher compression may increase blow-by to the point that I lose oil pressure. I probably should have asked that question in the first place; whether or not it is okay to go from a 8:1 compression...

    194 to 250 Head Swap

The original 250 inline 6 in my 1974 gmc c1500, at this point, is worn out to the point that is burns oil like it's 2 stroke. This is most likely from totally shot valve guides (years of unleaded gas) and maybe a whipped cam lobe or twelve. I recently bought a 194 I6 for 40 dollars that is in...

$150 Wham-Bam, Hack N Pack Shop Style Paint Job.

Yea, I hit (Ran Over) a deer a while back. I just tied a chain around a tree and pealed rubber.

It is only about two steps above that sort of work. This is what it looked like before paint

$150 Wham-Bam, Hack N Pack Shop Style Paint Job.

Here are some photos of my Pisser style Wham-Bam paint job that I did on my 1995 Chevrolet Suburban. It has about 335,000 miles on it, so it does not really deserve a full restoration, but it is deserving of a cheap paint job to make it look respectable. It had quite a bit of rust, but I did not...

    Worn out 250 Straight 6

I am new to the forum, I am 18 years old, and I own a 1974 GMC C1500 Custom. It has a 250 Straight 6, 3 on the tree, and has at least 239,000 miles on it (the odometer indicates 39,000, and the original owner already put 140,000 on it by 1979). The engine seems to have never been rebuilt, that...

    "Proper Starting procedure" for Squarebody

For some reason, a starting procedure is printed on the inside of the sun visor on my '74. Unfortunately, it does not apply when starting in -23 F. I'll tell you, it was a bitch starting it at that temperature. Step 1: Get pissed off that your fuel injected Chevrolet Suburban won't turn over...

Check the Gas and Fill the Oil . . .

I am currently in my senior year of high school and am about to turn 18, so I accept that I have, and am going to make some mistakes with this truck.

Check the Gas and Fill the Oil . . .

I locked up the brakes after hitting a patch of Ice, and put it a ravine last winter. I amazingly came out of the ordeal without a scratch on me, but even more amazingly, the truck was pretty much fine as well.

Check the Gas and Fill the Oil . . .

When I bought my first project vehicle about a year and a half ago, my 1974 GMC C1500, it was totally farm fresh. Complete with a rotted out stock rack, 40 year old non matching tires, a custom bailing wire trim package, and a whole lot of weight reduction for that sports car feel. (Looks pretty...
