    Secondary metering rod size?

I won't agree with anything you say since you've jacked with that carb so much.. What I do have issue with is you coming on here seeking help and not following the instructions and information given.. And then coming back here and calling out me or anyone else, pointing out something you found...

Stores Don't Sell Speedo Cable Lube Anymore - Now What?

That's true.. Unless a "helper" is watching the other end, how would one know when the cable is full?? Grease could be forced into the head which is a definite no-no.. Plus proper lubrication doesn't require the housing to be full.. Too many possibilities of a screw-up for me to use the grease...

Stores Don't Sell Speedo Cable Lube Anymore - Now What?

Yeah, quite a bit different... Several years ago, I made one of those "grease injection" tools from the driven gear sleeve.. I used it one time and never used it again.. Among other reasons, there's no way to gauge/measure the amount of grease being injected..

I'm one of those "old timers". It's all I use for lubing the speedometer cable. Release the cable from the speedo head.. Pull the "chain" (back in the day, that's what us old timers called the flexible shaft) out and clean it.. Put a little dab of lithium between your thumb and index finger...

    Secondary metering rod size?

Ok, got my bidnes taken care of.. lol.. Trust me-- Honky has a lot of stuff going on inside his head -- but tension ain't one of 'em.. You're missing the point here.. You see, none of my carburetors need fixin'.. and I shut my carburetor practice down years ago.. You have the broke Q-jet and...

    Secondary metering rod size?

It's all right here in your thread.. Honky is rounding up tools to do a You Tube tutorial on Q-jets.. I talked it over with him and Shortbed and we decided you should send your troublesome carburetor to Honky and let him use it in his tutorial.. On another note: I got something here that needs...

Aaarrright, it's settled then.. @3504boltmain If you need a shipping box, I can fix you right up with one made especially for carburetors.. We're all friends around here so I can speak for Honky when I say we don't charge one another for our services.. And as for parts, I got them Q-jets stacked...

@74 Shortbed, I'm sure you've been following this thread from it's beginning.. What do you think about 3504bolt main sending his Q-jet to Honky for him to practice on while he's learning??

Don't make fun of the boy.. He wants to learn how to work on them slobberjets, so we're helping him gather up the proper tools to do the work.. So far, he has a large hammer, an assortment of concrete blocks, 5 or 6 axes, and a chain saw.. Can you think of anything else he might need?? :Get...

I don't recall ever seeing a black one, but yes, that's the piece I'm talking about.. If it doesn't fit tight enough to hold the power valve in place, it's not doing it's job.. It also shouldn't impede power valve travel..

Looks a little bit like a chainsaw handle.. That's what you use on them Volvos ain't it???
