Searching for a modern sound system

I bought this Bluetooth receiver from Amazon: UWAYKEY Bluetooth Amplifier Board 2.1 Channel Class D AMP Module with Dual TPA3116D2 Chip (ZK-TB21). I split the power from the original radio and placed the receiver in the glovebox, so the stock radio still shows the time but is not hooked up to...

    Painting the Rockers

That last sentence is comforting. I think your advice was very straight forward. I’ve been watching a lot of videos and there's a lot of different tips and tricks that different people use. I've tried to keep track of all that. I hope my next post is post-fabrication, but I am still working...

Man, this is an awesome, thorough response. Much appreciated!

    Painting the Rockers

It definitely isn't that good, but I am also not striving for perfection. The front wheel wells are good, the back wheel wells are not. Those will be done eventually. I can live with the rust in those sections but couldn't live with the rust in the cab. This is a really good suggestion and would...

    Painting the Rockers

Still working on the welding process but I will get some up. Getting after it an hour here and an hour there so it may not be for another couple of weeks.

    Rocker save

Sometimes if you're in there cutting it's better to do it all at once anyways, as replacement for these parts will inevitably be needed somewhere down the line and you'll regret not having done it while you were already in there. I started with floor pans and am now into floor pans + inner and...

    Painting the Rockers

Does anyone have experience with painting just the rockers after replacement? What did you do? My floor pan replacement has turned into a floor pan, inner and outer rocker and floor support replacement. The truck's paint is original and otherwise the body and paint are in decent shape so I...

    3 Point Seat Belts ‘76 C10

Just to close the loop on this, that helped immensely. The only difference I can tell in the seatbelts for bench vs bucket is the buckles and their attachments (buckle is the same, but then length and sleeve/no sleeve). So I may just buy new buckles and call it a day.

    3 Point Seat Belts ‘76 C10

Thank you sir! Based on that, I think I can make these belts work…it’s mainly the buckles that are the issues. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Appreciate the help.

    Here we go

I did the same although mine wasn't quite as bad. Nearing the end of the road, finally. Good luck brother!

    3 Point Seat Belts ‘76 C10

@Randy De Oreo do you have a link for the exact belts you bought? My wife bought me a very nice gift (with safety in mind as the seat belts are about it for safety features without airbags...) to what I think looks similar to the belts you bought, but when I checked the website she bought them...

Redoing the Floor pans in an 82, a bit of Carnage, HELP!

I’m doing mine in steps as well. Floor pans, inner and outer rockers and cab corners are up for me.

    Inner rocker choices confusion.

Those look pretty rotted out…I would replace them. Sorry I’m not much help on the rocker question. I only know inner and outer rocker. Not sure what “inner full” refers to!

Best Product for Cleaning Floor Pans

Thanks everyone. Sorry I have been remiss in responding. I don't know what adhesive it was in there but good ol' goo gone took care of it. Still haven't welded in the new floor pans yet though - just been drivin 'er without carpet and enjoying watching the road roll by through the holes in those...

Best Product for Cleaning Floor Pans

I’m in the same boat as you with my work space. I have a small garage but can’t fit the truck in there. Plus, this damn daylight savings time…I’ll be in the driveway with some work lights trying to wrap this up before it gets too cold. I got everything out and it’s not good. I could drive it...

Best Product for Cleaning Floor Pans

Hey folks, I’m going to pull my carpet and the OEM foam pad, clean the carpet and replace the foam pad with some sound deadener and a layer of closed cell foam. Assuming the floor pans don’t need to be replaced, I would like to clean them up so that the sound deadener sticks well and doesn’t...

Don’t have a build thread yet so I’ll put this in here for now. My seat was the original red leather. There was a big hole in the drivers side and foam was coming out. It came with a seat cover but I wanted to get a nice seat because comfort has a lot to do with the driving experience IMO...

Sorry, I’m really behind in replying. Here it is before I got the lens and dash back on. Getting everything back on actually made it even better, visibility wise, because it closed off a lot of those spaces around the gauges where light was “bleeding” out.

Leesburg/Loudoun County. Just far enough outside of DC to get a little space! How about you?
