    Got Stickers?

VERY cool story. Thanks for taking the time to share it.

    Got Stickers?

I don't want to start any negativity, and I like almost all of the stickers you guys are posting up... Except one. I find the Salt Life stickers to be way overplayed. Maybe it's because I live in MN and literally couldn't get farther from an ocean, but when I see those salt life stickers on...

    Factory hood stripes?

That's weird enough that I actually like it!

    Got Stickers?

@Catbox where'd you get that Greta b!tch sticker? I saw one on a diesel hotrod last summer and really liked it.

WTF!!!!!!! 75 Monte Carlo CUSTOM CLOUD sell or trade - $25 (PHX North)

I saw a Monte like that listed on Craigslist list a few years ago in MN or WI. I had never seen one before and thought it was interesting. Never saw it in person though. In reality they took a pretty cool car and made it into a pretty ugly car. I own a '75 Monte and just can't appreciate the...

    Oil pressure help

Yes, those oil pressures are fine. Not good, but okay. Without a thermostat, your truck shouldn't be running 215° even in 100° ambient temps. 215° isn't going to hurt it, but it's close to overheating. I'd bet your radiator is old and clogged up. A replacement would be near the top of my...

    Truck Parts Superstore Scam?

I have no personal experience with Truck Parts Superstore, but your transaction sounds like a scam to me. If they can't prove that the parts have been ordered after 3 months, on a 6-8 week lead time, take it up with you credit card company.

Is it even possible to have a completely leakless 350?

My dad used to have a '77 Lincoln that still used a rope seal. That's what he told me anyway. I believe it coming from Ford too. I agree with @fast 99 . At some point its just going to become a leaker. When I read your post I thought, how many miles before I expect it to become a leaker...

Looks like it's time to part with one of my squares

I don't have a good price estimate for you, but pics are always helpful. You mention needing some TLC due to age, but what specifically needs work? The rest of your description sounds like a perfect truck. Lastly, I'm really sorry to hear of your failing health. Your a responsible man for not...

That kind of service can't be beat. Especially for a first day member. @AyWoSch Motors deserves some sort of award!

    Squeaky steering

Depending on the level of experience here, it could be a whining power steering pump that's low on fluid. Squeaky noise vs whine...

    Should I trade my 73 C20 for a 1998 Suburban

This is where my mind is going these days, too. I've discussed it multiple times with friends but don't know the first thing about refining gasoline. Let me know when you got it dialed in and I'll come out to CA for some training.

    What is this?

Wow! Thanks for posting that schematic @gofast321. That mysterious box doesn't seem so mysterious anymore. This seems like a fun winter project.

    What is this?

Thanks for letting me know that they are reproduced. For that price, I'll continue to live without delay wipers. Someday...

    What is this?

If that module is still good, and your delay wipers work properly, it's a valuable little part. I don't think they're reproduced and they seem to fail after years of use. For example, that module is dead in both of my squares.

    08 Cobalt

I had a similar scenario over the weekend. I was going to replace rear shoes and drums on my wife's Civic. Oreilly wanted $170 for the drums and shoes. I couldn't stomach that, and the shoes weren't quite done yet, so I put the drums back on and ordered parts online for <$70. That over a...

    Bed Support "Cross Sill" Options

What I'm working with is essentially junk. And it's even worse than I thought. :( I hadn't been under the bed since last fall. The rear sills, partially pictured below, are what I was initially asking about and looking for. The front sills are now junk as well. And the rear most cross sill...

    74 k10 bed not level

My guess would be a rotted out cab mount on the passenger side of your cab. Usually the lowest "thing" is where the problem is. Gravity is a powerful force. Things usually don't become unlevel by defying gravity.

    Bed Support "Cross Sill" Options

My truck needs rear bed support rails, or "cross sills" as LMC calls them. It needs them bad... They're currently unavailable through LMC (backordered). Are there any other sources for reproduction parts? I checked Brothers (now Holley) and AMD, but couldn't find the parts from either of...

    1980 z28 rescue

Looking good! Got any idea on how she redid it? The emblem on the back of my '79 is looking faded and it has some dirt stuck in it. It's not the same Z28 emblem though, just the standard '79 emblem. Regardless, it could use some love.

Is this something Ford's marketing department seriously produced? It's so light in the loafers I thought it was satirical.

1980 k10 dual shocks to single

I think that looks better, and newb questions are part of the learning process. In your picture, it looks like you have a jack under the front axle, supporting the truck. That's going to compress your leaf springs. In that position, your front shocks will also definitely be compressed to some...

1980 k10 dual shocks to single

That "bolt" is for mounting rear shocks to the frame rail. I don't think it belongs with your front shocks.

Hello, New Members Here and Saying Help

Fix the turn signals and start driving that thing! Often times turn signal issues are caused by bad grounds, or incorrect bulbs. Check those easy things first. Everything else you listed can be fixed with minimal down time while you're having fun putting around in it. The sooner you start...
