    Why would 4x4 make things different than your other setup? On my LS with the burb tank/sender I used Russel fittings to fit the lines.

    Water on drivers floor

    window seal is easy to check on a dry day. run water over it for a few minutes, then get under the dash and look for water. May want to block off the cowl so it doesn't interfere with the window seal test.

    from what I've read, the 8.1 swap w/allison.....you'll have the power, but not any gas mileage. That along with it not being that popular in the after-market community, sorry but good luck. Please prove me wrong, I've got access to both in my price range.
