What have you done to your square lately??

Diff subject but related to my response (thought I'd share), but my mower wasn't cutting it so I got some new blades for the JD D110. High lift, worked great mulching leaves and the yard looked great. Late season last year, I needed to clean the deck. Got all the grass from...

Another ? Won’t crank, stalls and gears won’t go in gear

If you've got shifting issues, you don't need to MOVE IT at all until you check the fluid AFTER the engine is up to temp. Check the fluid and make sure it's good. I say that because the other stuff should be cheaper to fix. The transmission on the other hand could be a $1500 rebuild that you...

What new tools have you got lately?

grrrr......you reminded me of my idea on ratcheting line wrenches. I sent drawings how to build them to gear wrench and I forget the other off brand vendor. I said to them in an email with drawings....and a good description how they would work. This was about 15 yrs ago. I said you can have...

What have you done to your square lately??

good to know thank you. So with 52"ers I gotta move the rear back 4" (to make 56") and then front 4" forward. [2nd edit]....will this add any lift? I need 2". I guess heavier duty springs will do it. Added it to my spreadsheet so it's easier to find the info.

What have you done to your square lately??

can't install ORD xmember without 2" lift. Instead of blocking the rear I'd like to upgrade. 2012 2500HD rear springs for $100 on FB. If they are 56" and will fit, what do ya'll think.....make the rear too stiff on my K10 (no serious towing)? Put stainless bolts in front bumper with...

Book or tutorial for 12V DC?

AC neutral = negative in a 12v ckt. Positive is always the high voltage. Troubleshooting standard 120V is no different than troubleshooting standard DC. Change your meter to DC instead of AC. Place your reference (black) probe to ground (neutral on AC) and go to town as you did before. As...

    PLEASE HELP! Electronic problem V3500

I'd start with checking all your grounds. After that, I'd look at the 12v signal your expecting from the ECM (don't know if thats correct or not....just helping troubleshooting electronics in general). just in case, in issues like this put the negative lead direct to the battery negative...if...

    Bilitools Vacuum Brake Bleeder

I just bled my for the first time by myself. I used the gravity method as well the spray bottle trick. Look it up on youtube. They also make speed bleeders so you can do it yourself. There's a check valve in there to stop air from being sucked in when you let off the pedal.

Took the grill out to paint. I forgot that I had put plasti-dip on it. I've got about 95% of it off. I'll not use that stuff on anything that isn't disposable or flat.
