maybe next time try a local automotive paint supplier. We've got one here in BFE KY that blew me away. They've got 10 times more selection than the parts stores in stock. I've been here for 22 years and went there last year for something. Kicking myself for money wasted. They even have a...

    LS Fuel Pressure

my recent "used" replacement LS it's acting a bit funny and have been thinking about how to troubleshoot it. I ordered a fitting to hook up to the fuel rail. Then I plan to hook up an oil sender to it (weld if needed to so it don't leak), then put a switch to the oil pressure gauge to switch...

    LS swap lost oil pressure

First things first, check your wiring to your gauges and sender (including grounds). Once known good, if you've not replaced the sender.....do that next. After that, get another gauge. Don't really see how this has gone to 2 pages. To verify flow (last resort), unscrew the plug below...

Here's one for the Holley/Eddy debate...

I had one before the swap. I have no complaints for off the shelf. I didn't do any fine tuning (jets n such)....stock off the shelf and adjusted it as it came out the box.

What have you done to your square lately??

started looking at 2" filler necks for the bed to replace the F*rd (floating in a hole in the bed lol) filler neck. Any suggestions to flatten out the ribs around the hole in the bed? Be cool if there was some strong steel adapter you bolt up thru the hole and run an impact to flatten it out...

    Rear diff vent tube

so over years of having a bad one....this could introduce water I would suspect? Thanks OP. [edit] well damn. Just thought of something. To fill the rear end with fluid, get a barb fitting to fit the fill hole, run a hose to fluid container, then pull a vaccum on the vent barb. Only work if...

    Body work for 77 K20

sorry I didn't see this one sooner. Anyway, years back I found a guy on craigslist that deals with aftermarket body parts. His prices are about 5% more than online, but he delivers (meets you at a close common ground) for free. You'd be surprised, check craigslist to see whats in your area...

    Basic volt drop test

Correct. When wires get old corroded or just have a loose connection, you will have voltage drop across a wire/connection. Keep your reference (negative wire to the meter) at the battery (known good) and follow the ckt to the load and back to the positive. If you see a significant drop...

Can I modify a window sweep with silicone?

dunno.....if it don't fit....think you'll be asking for trouble later. I'd send it back to get the right one. Thought is you don't want to dork with the window seals more than you have to. Get it right and done with so you can move on to the next issue and not worry about it. Just a thought
