In the 90's my camaro had cherry bombs. Believe it or not...they weren't that loud until higher rpms Recently I had 2 thrush glasspacks put on (long ones) and it was just too loud...I knew within 25 ft of taking off. I'm guessing that I got a different brand in the 90's, but they didn't get... -

@donnieray wish I had 5k to spare. $500 for gear change, engine swap (to me) should be expected in most of these trucks so I don't fret that cost. steal at $5k. Clean title? -

Replacing DVOM batteries
well damn....never thought of that one. Fine idea there. May do that for all my guys meters at work. [edit] well damn again....you can buy fused meter leads lol. hmmm...what about using the amp function? Maybe use that max amp fuse the meter is rated at and jump down an amp or 2. -

leads, if you buy cheap, get a 2nd set just in case. nothing worse than a bad set of leads, you didn't test them prior, and chase your ass all day due to a set of bad leads. As for batteries, in harsh environments I'd check them often regardless of type....or keep the meter out of the... -

cost/labor hows that work out compared to a reputable builder like Redhead? Nothing meant quality wise. Getting at, should this be something everyone should start doing themselves with/without a spare. -

Bondo roof. What to do?
depends on how much "character" you want. Mine is an expensive (rust free but not perfect) hunting truck/daily driver, so I'd get rid of the bondo and pop out what I could and hit the road. What have you done to your square lately??
local battery distributor told me to never over crank the bolts going into side terminals. They told me this when I asked for longer bolts to go into the side terminals. When you over tighten, it could pull the inserts out internally. Make them good and taunt. Just an FYI. -

if you've got a radiator shop and it's not plastic tanks, I'd have it fixed if it's on the cheap end (under $100). If you have a decent pricing radiator shop close by, if ur's is gonna cost too much, find a later model that can be fixed and go that route. I've never had a plastic tank... -
High Oil Pressure and Leaking After Oil Change
was thinking the same thing if it was an oil issue.....but visa versa. Example the engine had thicker oil in it and you put thinner in it. Either way, can you mask a leak by putting thinner/thicker oil in an engine? Never heard that trick, just going by what happened.- Camar068

yeh it was a luxury that some parts were given to me. Wanted to use the fob to unlock etc. Seals probably only need lubed, but even if they are tight my arm can get it down when needed lol. Will be painting the manual panels tomorrow to freshen up. Gotta love Krylon. -
