Should i fix the TBI or go to carb? And what's this wire?

And build that thing a headache rack that don't look like your picking cabage or carrots. Grin.

Should i fix the TBI or go to carb? And what's this wire?

Keep your tire from throwing stuff at it. Personally would weld in a piece of sheet metal so it ain't flopping around.

Should i fix the TBI or go to carb? And what's this wire?

Looks good to me. I would definetly install some sort of shield between the rear tire and tank and all your new stuff.

Dont see why you couldn't turn the pump on first, or switch it off run on the key switch. Just carry a couple extra pumps behind the seat.

With todays gas, the bowl will prob be boiled dry. Can't see where he put an insulator under the carb. The pump does run with out cranking, building oil pressure right?

What new tools have you got lately?

How about my "new" welding fixtures/squares. Seem to work pretty good and are square enough.

What new tools have you got lately?

According to the numbers it's a 1948. Farmer that give it to me said it ran and welded great. Quit running a few months back, sent it to a shop, they put a rebuilt mag on it, then a month or so back it quit firing again. He went and bought a new Miller. Itching to have time to fool with it.

    Best Door Hinge Lubricant

I use spray dry graphite. It's messy, but, it's dry and dusty around here so anything oily seems to make them worse instead of better.

    MACHINING 16.5" DOWN TO 16"?

The angle of the bead lip is what the old tire guy told me. Though if I recall the diameter of the wheels are the same. The tires were givin the .5 so to know they had the odd ball bead, 16.5, 22.5,

    MACHINING 16.5" DOWN TO 16"?

I'm sure. Very little can't be done with enough hard work and thinking. I've no desire to delve off into it though.

    MACHINING 16.5" DOWN TO 16"?

Was told by an old tire guy had a tire shop forever, the .5 in the tires isn't size it's a different bead. So a 16 inch tire will go right on a 16.5 wheel but, it will never seat.

Should i fix the TBI or go to carb? And what's this wire?

Had a 87 c 10, the black one you got the tail lights from, remember. It acted the same way, you may remember all the ground wires I had added to it. It's problem ended up being a bad wire at a plug at the coil, in all that mess somewhere. Way I understand it all the firing buisness tells the tbi...

Is it running rich when you hold the choke down? Far as attachment, just asking questions that hasnt been, information. Seems it was mentioned, but have you tried a different carb?

Have you just moved the distributor back and forth? How did you put the engine in, where did you attach the chain?

    Are pneumatic tools obselete?

I don't have a bad word to say about Makita! Their grinders are unbeatable in my opinion, have 3, the 9 inch is only a couple years old but am confident it will last till I can't pick it up. Their 5 inch grinders are the toughest things ever, have 2 of them that have had forever. Problem with...

    Are pneumatic tools obselete?

I'm becoming a fan of Bauer. Or Bauer corded tools. Started with their 7 inch grinder, that thing is a beast, not as stout as a 9 inch Makita but 200 bucks cheaper and 15 pounds lighter. Needed a new 4 1/2 inch, one hand grinder, give 150 for a Milwalkie, made in china? Seen the little Bauer, 40...

    Are pneumatic tools obselete?

That's my bitch about cordless tools. They seem to work fine until you need them to really work then they get hot, cry and die then I'm trying to not hit the hand holding the breaker bar as I wack it with a hammer.

    Are pneumatic tools obselete?

I'm not a fan of battery tools, guess they have improved over the last 20 years. Though my first experiences were not positive. I still like my air tools, impacts, needle scalar is about all I use any more. Use more corded tools grinders, drills, porta band, skill saw, cutoff saw, sawz all etc...

Dual tank fuel gauge makes no sense.

I'm with @SquareRoot, I'm wagering on sending unit in the tank. It ain't reading the full tank it has failed to full, not sure about the tbi's but the old one's generally show full when they are broke, or, that's my experience. It runs on both tanks now?
