Finally got the time. Works just like you said @Ricko1966. Many thanks to everyone. Drilled more holes in the truck than I wanted to but. Believe I'm going to put a fuse off the welder battery, just to be safe.

    @SirRobyn0 Found your next truck!

50's and 60's hell I'm from a swamp and we didn't have any in the 80's and got around. Was prob 16 when one of the old men that raised me and I got slipped down, we dug and shoved limbs and what not until we had it sufficiently stuck. What will bolt right on?

Well fine Richard! lol. Way I can understand it, the 12 bolt is a "better" rear end than the 10 bolt? Have no idea if there is any farther damage, ain't opened it up. Have measured looked poked, prodded figuring if the 12 bolt would bolt right in. Never look at the emergency brake deal. It's a...

    What will bolt right on?

Ya'll hurt me! Lol. Lost the pinion bearing in the 82, 10 bolt, have 3 12 bolts out back was just going to stick under there. Do have a same truck, round eye 80 if I needed the drive shaft.

Looking at buying a 1985 wrangler?

Some people love them, rest of us hate them. Ones I've been around were dogs, that's just my opinion. Not a big deal to drop a 350 in it though. Talking about the 6.2 btw.

Did my ignition switch just go out?

Probably the mechanic! Change the blowed fuse fer one that ain't and off we go. Well till the water pump went out in my other not broke truck, then the fuel pump went out in this one? 4 legal trucks around here and couldn't go nowhere in one of them. Have a couple non insured, not tagged or...

Did my ignition switch just go out?

If your asking did it replace a fusible link, yes one down at the starter. Truck has headers on it, they were being awful hard on the wires as they ran down the frame back to the starter. So, I rerouted all those along the firewall to the battery. Replaced the links with fuses. Edit to add: The...

    Anyone running a Muncie/ Saginaw?

Yes sir, everything is solid, body is still on rubber, engine and trans are solid. The "stop" bolts on the shifter are backed all the way out so there is plenty of play. Car is geared 6.20, so except putting it on the trailer 3rd is about all I'll need.

    Anyone running a Muncie/ Saginaw?

Put a Hurst shifter in the race car, assume the trans levers are factory? It gets the gears shifted just fine. In my case the shifter is mounted to the car, floor pan, not the tranny.

    Excited to be here

Looks like you need new lug nuts. Get some regular ole steel wheel lug nuts. The bevel on the nut should match the bevel on the wheel and kept tight will hold the wheel/tire centered. If you can find and afford them get the longer nuts that don't have a hole all the way through them, ie they...

    Excited to be here

Come on in and calm down. wheel width will depend on the tire you want to run, ish. About the widest 16 wheel I've seen is 7 maybe 8 inches. 16 inch tires seem to be tall and narrow, fine with me, it's what I like. If you want to run a wide tire like you have now on that nice truck prob should...

    Charge an extra battery

I get ya! Don't mean a box, just a panel That can be mounted to the truck, relay has to be mounted somewhere why not there handy. Figure in the cab is better than the engine compartment. Thanks again, I'll post up something as I get it done.
