That little wire clip under the steering wheel.

Well maybe not the quality of Auto Zone, but. 3/4 16, threads, yup, thats the nut I found. That fits. Bored and the damn seam gone. Always has to be a bushing. More than likely get the job done.

That little wire clip under the steering wheel.

Well, @Raider L, not to be an ass, but I accept the challenge! Lol. Looked in town today for one of them tools, couldn't find one, nor the ring. Lady friend and i were talking about it, just a while ago and she asked "why not just make one" then you challenge me. I know little to nothing about a...

That little wire clip under the steering wheel.

This happens, I know from loosing one of those clips years ago. So the tool threads to the end of the shaft, then threads push the plate down aganst the spring correct? Be pretty easy to fab one up, only cost 231 bucks in material and time??? Thanks guys!! Wondering if there was a way around...

That little wire clip under the steering wheel.

Exactly, that little clip. I was unaware there was a tool for it. Always took them off with a pick and put them back with a socket...cuss words in 3 languages, sweat, and sometimes blood and tears!! Thanks! I'll have to find or make me one of them tools, sure there are pictures on the interweb...

No sir this GMC Sprint. And yes, that little wire clip.

That little wire clip under the steering wheel.

No sir, tilt is ok. Maybe there is different columns? All I've delt with have a little hard wire split ring that fits in a grove in the splines, it is a PIA to deal with, but leave it out and the steering wheel will be all floppy. Or, am I old and thinking of something else? Don't think so. I'll...

    Which welder?

This wouldn't cause it to bird nest, it would change the pressure on the wire/feed rollers.

That little wire clip under the steering wheel.

Piddling with the Sprint, and the steering wheel is flopping around. It should make it in the shop this weekend and that is an issue I'd like to address. Figure that that little damn clip is gone. Is there a way to tighten the steering wheel other than jacking with that little wire clip, snap...

    Which welder?

Not to butt in. Are you sure the wire is coming off the roll clean, meaning the wire going to the roller isn't coming off the spool under another coil, or 2?

Little help from the Holley guys please.

Well? I'll be swaping out an Elderbrock, which I have no complaints on how they run. Though once every thing is hot, be damned if I can get one to start with out having to crank on it like a Dodge???
  23. wanderinthru

    Which welder?

Its just softer. When I'm saying flux core, I'm talking about the dual shield wire, can'r remember the number of what I use off hand. Have little experience with the non gas shielded flux core. What little I have used it is the reason Ive little experience. It sucks.
