    How straight are our axles?

It's a chain sprocket welded to it in the chuck. Dialed it in on the machined surface right behind the bearing, with the tail stock center in just enough to hold it. It's not out of round .065 its a long bend, can see it's turning true on either end and swings like a banana.

    How straight are our axles?

So? You saying the bend is there for a reason? Hard for me to understand how one could balance a bent shaft.

    How straight are our axles?

Same horse walker project, but just to over come ignorant. How straight should an axle be to be straight. This thing is dialed in the 4 jaw to a 1/2 thousand using their center on the spline end and its running out 65 thousand .065 in the middle.

What tha... rear end is this,

At the Amarillo Texas dirt track. Rear end has to be welded or a spool put in to be legal to run in the street stock class.

What tha... rear end is this,

Has a tag with 3.54 stamped on it, assume it's the ratio. Yes sir I'm betting it will be a horse trotter instead of walker. It is belt drivin with a speed reduction pulley "system" so will be able to slow it down with resized pulleys.. Appreciate all the information, as well as opinions.

What tha... rear end is this,

2,3 or 4 core radiator for BBC?

    Trailer tires

They make "trailer only" tires. Carlile, maybe? It's a heavy bias ply, a hard stand up kind of tire. Generally cheaper than a 15 inch truck tire. Had a set on my 20 by 6' 8 trailer for years. Hauled a 480 C Case backhoe quite a bit with never an issue.

Tow a 5th wheel camper trailer with bed mount hitch ?

Have put many goose neck/ 5th wheel plates in the bed, bolted thru the flange of the frame, bolts spaced between bed and frame to get them damn tight. Hauled mucho weight, lots more than 7000 pounds, 2 and 3 times that with never an issue. BUT, these old trucks were a lot newer then and had not...

How long does your Q-jet hold fuel in the bowl?

By no means am I saying it don't happen, I just can't see how. Using an Oklahoma credit card, aka siphon there can be no interuption. So the air above the float would cancel the siphon, with the fuel leaving the top of the bowl. Plus the head pressure, where the fuel would be re entering the...

How long does your Q-jet hold fuel in the bowl?

I would say with todays gas, it has more to do with the temp of the engine when you turn it off. Put an Elderbrock on my 75 a while ago, (The Q jet just blew up, and I had the Elderbrock on the shelf) but, it's setting on the cast iron intake, with no insulator spacer..didn't have that laying...
