What new tools have you got lately?

Have to admit I've not heard a bad review of Bauer. Couple weeks ago bought their 7 inch grinder, it looks and feels identical to a Ridgid. It is plenty stout and a lot lighter and over 200 bucks cheaper than the Makita(which is a 9 inch grinder, so there is that) Way I understand it Bauer...

Best oil? Type, brand, viscosity, additives, etc.

Personally, I still run straight 30 weight. Never bought into the multi vis deal, 10/30 is 10 weight and oil gets thinner with heat period. Buy mine in a 5 gallon bucket, half the price of quarts, believe it's Mobile, but would have to go look. All my research shows that these engines are still...

Writings on the wall, I think

All that. As well as, I just brought back a brand new starter that was junk out of the box. Because a part is new, don't mean it's good.

'93 W/T 1500 (Surprise, surprise, Bucket acquired another truck)

Guess I was talking Texas. Remuda is a group/string of riding horses. Cool vehicles. Good on the young guys. Ya'll shouldn't be misleading the fellers with false stickers, lol.

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

How's it work in the truck? Would you reccomend it for a heavy ass c 30 work truck? Never in a hurry but will pull a 15,000 pound backhoe? Appreciate it!

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Ok, been an interesting tread. If i may, in this picture we are looking at a tall deck big block in the engine compartment of a square body correct? How much of a pain was it to get in there? More than matching up motor mounts? Have to move any sheet metal? Is there any room left to work on the...

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Do not know what year it is, didn't look. Will be back by there in a few days will check all that out. Never heard of a 420, trans anyway, sure it would run a different pto than a 465? As all this has come around I remembered another early 60's bob tail, and it's still there, good chance it...

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Tons of old bob tails around here, 366's were real popular in them. These I bought were old irrigation engines, that's all went electric submersable now. Got in the trailer load deal, because of a set of camel hump heads for the race car. Though I do believe 3(?) of the v8's are 283's or 327...

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Makes sense, though I can do most if not all of the machining myself. @Bextreme04 , Do appreciate it, will study the info on the site. Finding a 454 local has been challenging, have found a few, but seen to be way over priced, or rebuilt for a hot rod type application. Hell just bought 13 Chevy...

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Sounds like yet another project for an old fat man. Lol, may help, give me the HP to go ahead and break the old truck in half????

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Ok, big reason for this engine, first it's free. Truck is a bobtail grain truck that will be converted to a trailer to tend wheat drills. Trans questions were because it has the PTO needed for this same 75. Second this is my welding/work truck, it doesn't need to be a hot rod, but move alot of...

    350 to 366 swap in a 75 C 30, How much of a PIA?

Ran across a late 60's C 50 with a 366, and a 465(?) 4 speed. Were the 4 speeds 465's then? How much trouble would the interchange be? Motor mounts, electric, and radiator is what I see? Say 366, unless the engine is all but new inside it will be bored to 427. Am I correct to understand bore...

Donkey. Dirt track race car build.

Been running around like a cat on concrete, so not alot of progress, but. Little fire wall massaging and engine and trans are mocked up. Hoping to get the mounts finished this weekend. Scored a Ford 9 inch for Donkey. Then thanks to @AyWoSch Motors another trans, and a sure nuff Hurst...

What new tools have you got lately?

Granted, this is some easy welding. But the reason I will keep buying them. 5/32 7018, it loves them.
