    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Mine still works, runs a little slow though. I’ll have to look into cleaning it.

    What is this??

Good catch. I didn't look close enough at his picture to see it's the driver's side. My '85 K30 has it on the driver's valve cover too. Here's the some pics of the other related items.

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

They should fit no problem. Just don’t know how they wire up. Hard part is finding one. It’s a popular swap.

    What is this??

Do you have one of these factory aux fans behind the grill? If so it could be the relay to that. There's a sensor on the passenger head that triggers the fan. I added it to mine, but it is the correct location using a Napa parts.

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

I looked back at what your were replying to. That 4000 RPM tach and fuel gauge is out of a diesel C60-70 truck. The gas C60-70 had 5000 RPM tachs.

    460 BBC Mechanical Fuel Pump

The PO of my truck ran into this problem when trying to install a new fuel pump. I have the 3 port style, but it shows the height difference. TRW used to be the supplier for Napa, now it is Carter. Their catalog is wrong, but I've heard it's been corrected since I did mine 5 years ago. The...

    Dual stabilizer install

Pictures help. Back in the day my dual stabilizer was a stacked style (I'm old). Is this a horizontal unit? I had one like this, but it mounts reverse of this picture.

Need H6 AC compressor brackets for 454

Thanks for the compliment. I’m lucky the truck was parked for 10-11 years before I bought it. It also helped that at the time all those photos were taken I was living in California and had to smog it every 2 years. Everything on there was required to pass.

Need H6 AC compressor brackets for 454

It's been 4-5 years since I installed the pump, but in the last picture, I had to transfer that rusty looking nut from my old pump to this new one. I think the other had some type of stud on it. When I had the original A/C brackets on (below) it the pump would not have gone on had I not swap...

    75 k10 lift kit

You may be able to remove some of the front leaves. The problem you may run into once the spring relaxes from removing extra leaves, it may be too long and the rear spring eye will be too close or sitting on the frame preventing shackle movement.

Need H6 AC compressor brackets for 454

@Squarebody1985 here's those pictures. FYI my truck is an early production '85 (11/84) with a single smog pump set up. Trucks produced after 1/1/85 had dual smog pumps, factory stainless headers and a different A/C compressor set up. I'm not sure it those power steer mounts were different.

    Rear Bumper difference?

I’m pretty sure the van bumpers are wider than the truck bumpers. Track width is 3-4” wider.

    83 K10. 6" lift. Question

I can't tell too much in the front, but it seems your front spring are short for some reason. The shackles look pulled forward instead of being close to vertical. Could just be optics. You could always get a shorter block in the rear with a taper to lower it and in the front take out a leaf...

What size tires for 4 inch lift?

Here's a few of my past trucks and the last is my current K30. FYI the K30 is only a 3" lift, but would be a 5" on a K20. Last 2 trucks (K15 & K30) I've run Tuff Country EZ Ride springs with ORD's Sway bar disconnect. 1979 K-15 3/4 ton axle swap 4" lift with 33 x 12.50 x 16.5s (same as a...

    Center dash speaker options?

Here's the bracket my '85 had a the front dash corners. If you don't have them you may need to fab something. I put my speaker on the under side of the bracket to clear the tweater (yes those screws got trimmed).

    Rear Bumper difference?

This is the correct bumper for a step side of that era. A fleet side would look too squared off I believe and the sides extend closer to the fenders.

    Does a lift kit exist for 2wd 79 c10?

I know on our '89 Caprice police packages used the larger 1/2 ton brakes (12" rotors). I believe regular Caprices used 11". You may looks at some of the lift spindles for "B" GM cars. https://liftabrand.com/Product/4-12 These are 4.5"
