    Adding a Suburban Gas tank

@Frankenchevy fabbed up a dual tank set up on his truck. Maybe he can chime in or look at his build thread under the K30 section of Under Construction. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/rebuilding-my-truck.20949/

    OER compared to LMC

Let me know when you get these in stock. The LMC ones suck!! The adhesive only works for a short time and comes off.

    Hvac blend door question...

Hopefully you got this fixed. When I had my box out I repaired the factory floor/Defrost flapper. Photo #1 From the factory there is a foam seal that deteriorates over time. I bought some Scotch felt furniture pads and cut them to fit. I reused the staples the arrow points to. It created a...

    Front clip swap?

Yes the wiper towers need to be changed too. The 73-80 are shorter to fit under the hood. You should be able to keep your wiper arms and washer squirters. I back dated my '79 to look like a '73-74. I like the earlier hood with the peak in the center and the amber parking lights.

    Rear Sway Bracketry Mod

I would be afraid there would not be enough side movement to your new set up. I'm thinking entering a driveway or ditch at an angle and having the axle crossed up a bit. Just my 2 cents.

How to measure 14 bolt drum?

The 11" drum on a 14 bolt looks similar to the first photo. Photo 2 is the 13x 3.5" on my K30. On a 16" wheel, the 13" drum will look like photo 3. Fit is fairly tight. You would have a really noticeable gap with the 11" drum.

    Smooth ride

This was my last truck and probably the best riding Square Body of the 8 I've had. I've had Rancho and Skyjacker kits on previous trucks. 4' Tuff Country EZ Ride front springs and a 4" block in the rear. OEM 5/1 rear springs. Shocks were Tuff Country SX8000. I think the best thing to add is...

    New "Old" Daily - 8.1L

Yes the 8.1L loves oil. It's a design issue. There's no PCV valve, just an orifice under the intake manifold that causes the oil consumption. About 2 quarts per 3k miles. There is a fix, but I not worth taking it apart.

    Shackle flip

ORD carries the 4WD rear axle front spring hanger. It is 2" longer than the C30 version. You will need this to make the flip kit work correctly. You can see the OEM hangers on my K30 put the spring eye below the frame (photo #2 & 3). Link...

    Rear Window Sliding Glass

I replaced the rear slider in the '79 I had with a CR Lawrence. The tinted version was not very dark.

Need 1 Charcoal door pocket for my '87

I'm not using pockets when I install my new door panels. I only have the passenger side. Here's the best picture I have for now as I'm about to leave for the day. The elastic is a little stretched, but otherwise in good shape. I'll get you a better picture tomorrow. Just PM you address.

10 inch lift and 37 inch tires on 88 suburban

I'll throw my hat in here. Based on what I see in the photo of the tan Suburban I'm guessing you have a 3/4 ton. An '88 should have stacked headlights unless the grill was updated. There's probably a 3-4" lift sitting on 35's. Those could be 16.5" or 16" wheels. The OEM engine would be a...

Any squarebody van guys? Got a odd question.

@Jason Deckard has done a lot of work to his Pathfinder van and has a build thread. He has not been on in a while though. Here's an Instagram for him. https://www.instagram.com/pathfinder4x4vans/?hl=en

    2wd to 4wd conversion

It would require fab at the rear end. The rear spring hangers, spring pads and shock mounts are different between the 3/4 ton and the 1 ton. Here's my K30.

Before you string me up ..

For the OP. Here's my last truck, '79 K15 with a 4" Tuff Country EZ Ride in the front, single shocks. I had a 4" blocks in the rear with OEM 6 leaf springs in the rear. It was the best riding Square body I've had. FYI tires were 33x12.50x16.5" (32.8"). Since the front wheel wells are...

    Gas going Everywhere question?

Did you install one of those ethanol proof plungers in the accelerator pump? Rubber products are junk these days. I replaced all my rubber fuel line 4 years ago and it looks like swiss cheese now.

Truck 10 bolt or Truck 12 bolt

I was just throwing it out there as a possible cheap option. I'm well aware of the low HP ratings. My GM rebuilt 454 in my K30 is a 1990 version with a whopping 230 HP...:banghead:
