    Underside treatments

Now that I have the frame all POR15'ed, I'm gonna work on getting the bed as rust free as possible and then coat it. Was thinking about a rubberized undercoating, but not sure if I should prime it first or what. Any suggestions, ideas, etc? I was also thinking about Eastwood's Rubberized...

    Sliding Rear Window Restoration/Parts

You might be able to source the parts, but I last I looked I couldn't find any kits or companies that refurbished them.

    Heads for sale...

I've done valve springs on my Grand Prix with the compressed air method... Holds 'em up pretty well, but you have to be careful. I'm not sure how much pressure it would take to overcome the air.

    proportioning valve/combo valve woes

The one thing I haven't seen mentioned is wheel cylinders... Have you checked under the drums to see if they're leaking? Sometimes there's enough dust in there to soak up the fluid so that a leak isn't readily apparent.

HRPC's trip to Pull A Part

Yeah, usually I hit the one up by I-45N and West. Their inventory on squares though has kinda sucked lately though.

Started mocking up the new exhaust. What do y'all think? They sit up higher than I thought, but I do have a pair of 45* bends to raise the mufflers a bit should I need to.

What have you done to your square lately??

Yup... I just wish it wasn't so damn humid down here. I was good with the first coat for the most part, but the second coat decided to pop more as the day got more humid, so it isn't completely smooth, but good enough for a solid coat. When I eventually take the front clip off, I'll take care...

Rolled and brushed... Yup... She was basically all original when I picked it up. That's one heavy duty frame for a half ton too. Under each of the spring hangers there's bracket that goes from the underside of the frame to the hanger. Never saw that before this one.

Finally got all the scale, dirt, and grime off the frame and por15'ed the frame from the firewall back... :jawdrop: She's looking perttier... Can't wait to get the cab back down on the frame and the exhaust on 'er. Then it's time to get the bed back together. :driver:

    Hydroboost/steering help

How do the hoses look? I'm not sure with the PS/Hydroboost lines, but I know brake lines can fail internally and keep fluid from moving around.

My FREE 350 Motor Survived Thankfully !!!

Yeah, that sucks... I wish I had been around about that time. I could've used pieces off that pickup's front clip. I still need an inner fender... Outer too if I can find an OEM piece. Have an aftermarket one laying around, but would rather go OEM if I had the choice.

Glad that engine made it through... A bit sad to see that the squares had to go across the scales though.

    Duel Tank Switch

Hmmm, you learn something new every day... I knew the ones for the older ones were the single wire solenoid type, didn't know they had switched temporarily in the 80's to a motorized version. Thanks chengny!

    Duel Tank Switch

Momentary switches won't work for a dual tank system... The auxiliary side of the tank selection solenoid needs a constant voltage against it to keep it switched. Otherwise, it'll flip right back to the primary side.
