If you don't have a cargo light, I'd say that was probably the original dome light harness. It would've been part of the circuit that also lit up the bulbs under the dash.
When I put the Hydroboost in my '73 I had to buy a bushing for the brake pedal pin. The only thing is that it pushed the pedal out about a 1/4" or so, but it works great.
You can comfortable fit up to about a 32" diameter tire with the stock suspension. I've seen a 33" tire stuffed in there before, but it was looking a bit cramped.
I've got 31x10.50s on my 15x8 Rallies, but next time I wouldn't hesitate to go to the 32's...
Nice... Wish I had the ability to go to the ones out here, but chances are they only have one or two squares with the parts I'd need and that's if they aren't full of rust or the trucks already crushed.
Thanks HotRodPC!
Just took mine apart so I could fix the hinge part... Probably go back with some piano hinge like I saw elsewhere on the site.
highdesertrange The only thing I can see that would keep the lock from turning back on its own, is if you didn't put the tumbler back in quite...
I found what I needed sooner than I thought... Here are my initial thoughts on it. If I knew where my one relay is without it's case I'd be able to tell you for certain.
From what it looks like in this image:
1. Between terminal 194 and the case there should be continuity
2. Between...
I've dropped the tanks before by just leaving the straps in place and taking out the bolts for the brackets. If you're re-installing the same tank it also makes it easier to put it back in as you don't have to realign the straps on the tank.
I don't know off the top of my head, but I have one without the case on it around here somewhere. If I can find a schematic somewhere, I could probably tell you from that.
It's been a bit busy around here though, so it might take me a few days...
They're expensive when bought new from what I could find... I think LMC carries them, but I have a couple laying around I've pulled from junkyard trucks.
I'd test the one you have before replacing it.
HotRodPC is usually the go to guy for transmission help, but we still need more information, such as which transmission you actually have.
For help identifying which transmission you have I'd compare the image with your pan.
What 89Suburban said! I put in new bulbs and that was a huge improvement, but then I did the relay modification and Holy Cow... Started wondering how I saw the road at night when I was driving my first square in high school.
Sorry about this... I've forgotten to get pictures these past few weekends. I'll see if I can get to it tomorrow though. If I don't post any then PM me to remind me that I need to do it. :)
I meant to comment on this, but it must've been lost in the shuffle... I have the Energy Suspension kit on mine and like them a lot. The truck will probably never be off-road, so no experiences there.
Had this happen when I was rebuilding my engine... I cut it with some fresh 87octane and was fine. How much do you have in the tank?
I'd think if you could at least cut it with equal parts, stale and fresh you'd be alright. If you can do more then even better.
Depends on the power requirements of the horn, but I'd imagine it could be done. Typically I believe they all just require 12 volts. You might have to graft a new connector onto the wire that goes to the current horn set up to fit the new horns.
Finally got started on stripping paint and rust from the inner bed panels this past week so I can get it reassembled and back on the truck.
My deadline is fast approaching... I would really like to have 'er road legal before the baby gets here.
