    Overheating? Bad temp sensor reading?

Let it cool and check the level in the radiator, and is there coolant in the overflow . If so, and both are where they should be, then perhaps the new temp sensor is wonky. I don't know offhand the total capacity but 2 - 3 gallons seems about right when I changed my radiator. If you have a...

    GMC vs. CHEVROLET

Only if you are trying to find grilles or fender badges for your "professional grade" square. Unobtanium has soared in value recently. :dogpile: I prefer Chevy as the 1st Sub was a Chevy, but I have owned more GMCs. Just what was available at the time. I prefer zero car notes but recognize...

automatic transmission column selector/lever not locking into park

The only other thought that comes to mind is that the shafts inside the column are designed to collapse in a crash and have plastic shear pins to allow that to occur. IF somehow the shift tube got twisted and broke those it could move out of alignment. There is also a metal shift gate that...

automatic transmission column selector/lever not locking into park

Can you rotate the rod all the way up from the engine side ? That rod attaches to the shift bowl, which on the older trucks is pot metal. Cant say I have seen it, but if the bowl wore out or broke I guess it could cause that. Is the ignition switch adjusted correctly? Does the accessory...

automatic transmission column selector/lever not locking into park

Try taking the cotter pin out and verifying column operation without the linkage hooked up. If it locks and acts like it should then you have an adjustment issue on the rod. Seems like there is a locknut where the shift lever goes to the transmission that should give you some adjustment...

What have you done to your square lately??

File this in the WTF category. 3 interior lights in the Suburban- the one on the floor and 2 dome lights. Screwing around with the new lighter some more and saw a spark as I put it in. Not good. Check the dome lights - no workie. Hit the horn - no workie, but, it would make a buzz noise and...

What have you done to your square lately??

Well, 3rd lighter play netted this. I pushed it back together and it held for one more. Got home and Gorilla super glued it - we will see if it holds. Plastic knob press fitted - kinda sorta - on a plastic stem. :emotions34:

I believe they are bigger - the 3rd seat ones might match the Blazers, though. Look at the rear door panels on this one- damn, this one was clean ! https://www.automagic.nl/all-cars/chevrolet/415-1977-chevrolet-suburban-k10-1977-453

What have you done to your square lately??

Lubed the speedo cables the other day and still had some speedo bounce and hurky jerky cruise action. So, decided to take apart the cruise module and put a little oil in places on it. Speedo seems a little smoother and the cruise still works at 35 , so I guess I did not screw anything up...

    Unknown lock

The only thing I saw close on a search was perhaps an antique alarm system. I have seen a few of those capped locks but not recently. Back to the top for a bit, though.:)

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah - our dead dino drinkers are dinosaurs themselves ... I used to see the stuff in the Help section of Auto parts stores, but did not last time I actually looked. Worst part of online buying is shipping- 8 snackers for that lighter element and the hose. Tis what it tis ...

What have you done to your square lately??

Removed 1 shim from the PS fender - I guess when the bodyshop adjusted that door it changed the gaps. Or, maybe it has been that way all along. Who knows - been driving me crazy. May pull 1 more. That would leave 1 on the PS and 3 on the DS. One of my 1st forays into bodywork ... :eek...

What have you done to your square lately??

It could handle the plastic, so there is that.:) I think it's lifetime warranty according to the box. Now that may be the lifetime of a fly, but still lifetime! I liken it to a can of fix a flat. Better than nothing but a 1 time use product.
