Get a quality stock style distributor like proform gm licensed or DUI with mechanical and vacuum advance and match the gear material to your cam (roller/flat tapped). On the cheap distributors modules and transistors like to die soon.- ali_c20

Want to bag 79. But also want to keep it around stock.
Should be possible but that's a lot of parts work and money. Do you want to improve handling? Go for good coil over shocks, tubular control arms, sway bars front and back and a good steering box if you want to be around stock height. No need for compressor valves lines etc.- ali_c20

I have the AVS2 on my K5. When the engine ist hot I have to push the pedal a little to get it running. Cold start is 2 pumps and it starts up immediately. I had the same behavior with a 1406 so I think that's normal. The members with more knowledge on carbs will share their wisdom with us.- ali_c20

Welcome. Which selector valve do you have? 3 or 6 port? Are you going to run a return line ? The parts have to match the system you want to build (sending unit, selector valve and tank selector switch) There are wiring diagrams for the selector switches and valves. I would do a complete new fuel...- ali_c20
