    Gonna build a trailer...

Kewl! I did a flatbed conversion to an old boat trailer. Like this It runs considerably more than 60/40. You can see what it gets used for so far. I made it to haul 21' sticks of black pipe and tower sections. Keeping it light ;)

    Did they mess up belts?

I can't speak to a small block, but on a big block they have the AC running off the PS dual V groove with the PS running off the crank/WP in the other. Thusly This is a '79. I can't imagine it's much different on a SB of a similar vintage and options list. I hope this is helpful.

    Gonna build a trailer...

If you have too much weight hanging out back, it's gonna track squirrely. Having had a couple of these pickup conversions, my advice is 60/40 - 60% in front of the trailer axle center line and 40% behind. Even if you could get to 50/50, it still won't track right if more weight is behind the...

What have you done to your square lately??

Redid the roadkill fuel pump situation to one that actually puts fuel into the Q jet, so I can move it around as jobs dictate. Relocated the gas can so now I can actually close the hood. After removing the jack bolts and hardware.

    Jack ideas?

Dang it fellas, I hadn't given any thought to a jack system. The original is long gone, and I have some 20 tonners that I can sacrifice for the cause. Odds are I'll finish this project first and then can spare one for ole Pearl.

    Lowering truck

While you're asking about a one piece shaft I assume, half ton application, I found a static 3/4 kit listed for my c20 and I can't imagine it will matter to the short half shaft hanging out past the carrier bearing. But I don't know for certain, yet.

    help with c20 drop..

Don't know if this will help you mate, or if you will even see it, but I ran across a link in another thread that addresses the issue. It gives you the choice between bolt on or clip on in the fine tuning part of ordering. Hope it helps Sean. https://switchsuspension.com/product-result/

    Finding Serpentine Belt Lengths

I would measure with the tensioner in the mid range and go with the closest sized belt available. That way you have some range to work with that would hopefully keep adequate tension.

Is this the camper wiring on my 1981 C20 Camper Special

Yup, that's it. Good find It's been raining crazy here the last few days and of course I have the truck out from under the carport. I am still going to check under mine, now cuz I want to see if that got butchered underneath like the fuel system and the tank selector got before I bought it.

Is this the camper wiring on my 1981 C20 Camper Special

Now my curiosity has been bumped. I will go look at mine after the rain moves east

Is this the camper wiring on my 1981 C20 Camper Special

That looks like the wiring used to hook up trailer lights, not something factory, unless they were using those same rolls of 4 color ribbon. Have you traced them to an origin?

    What is this?

Lol, Someone will pay good money for it, just a matter of when. Tag it and put free money aside.

Steering box frame reinforcement weld in plates

I'll be sure to check mine out when reseal time rolls around. It was an actual camper special in its previous life, so its worth checking out, even being only 2wd. Very much sooner than later. Steering is sub-system two on the punch list.

How can i separate my rotor from hub? Looks like its all one piece need help!

Could use an air chisel with a mushroom head bit. Probably how I would do it just cuz I'm lazy like that. I'm sure that's how changing the drums will play out. But here's what I find. This is Rock, but it has the picture. One piece unit.

How can i separate my rotor from hub? Looks like its all one piece need help!

I thought the c20 had one piece hub/rotor assemblies? I could be wrong, haven't got that far on mine yet. If not, you have to punch all the studs out to separate the hub from the rotor, kinda like the rear drums IIRC. Or are those threaded holes a place to push against the hub? Am I right fellas?

IIRC, one should be able to see the fuel spray in real time to a point. A timing light can help. Watch for drips too.

Doh! Missed that. While still on the fuel idea... Bad fuel delivery, like pluggy filter ot weak pump?

What have you done to your square lately??

Waiting on FedEx today, thought that it's time to get going on things. The 16.5s just aren't going to work out right now, and I need to verify my suspicion concerning which drum the 14bff is sporting. Yup, 13" drums. That makes sense, considering that it's camper special. Looks like these...
