86 K30 (dually) rear bumper swap

Your welcome, happy to help. I got my bumper new from AMD (auto metal direct). Was pretty cheap and seems good quality.

86 K30 (dually) rear bumper swap

Yeah if you found a c10 or a k10 with one, itd fit it same, and they would have the proper factory brackets on it, but those are hard to find. They weren't very common on pickups, only by special order as far as i know. Blazers are a bit more common.

86 K30 (dually) rear bumper swap

Heres mine... A little faded, but not bad. Made a custom 2in receiver hitch too.

86 K30 (dually) rear bumper swap

Yes. Your truck is a 80s model, so you'd be looking for 81-91 blazer bumper and brackets, so the bumper, and bracket shape matches your front bumper. Although if you were going to run a 73-80 style bumper, it would also bolt up, but you'd need the same corresponding year brackets. But that...

86 K30 (dually) rear bumper swap

I put a blazer bumper on my pickup. Was pretty easy. I used factory blazer style outer 2 brackets, which bolt right on no problem. The center 2 you can either buy or make. I made mine, just used some angle iron and made one to match the bumper shape.

What have you done to your square lately??

Got the 427 officially in and bolted down, got the wiring figured out and repaired. It cranks off the key now. Got the waterpump/alternator pulley routing figured out. Also got the manifolds in, and plugs in. Got alot of small chit to do now..

Here's one for the Holley/Eddy debate...

It was Roadkill and they took a 67 chevy biscayne coupe. I like that episode alot. It made it up no problem, but couldn't make it down because of the drum brakes, haha

What in the f is this bracket for??

That looks like a trans mount relocator. Old aftermarket adapter piece for if you changed trans to one thats a little longer, but didnt want to relocate the crosmember... Just a thought.

So thats how you rim dual standard rims if you don't have a dually axle, interesting. Never seen that before, was wondering how you had that style wheel on a dually. Cool. Whats the load capacity with those? Increased or reduced?

What have you done to your square lately??

Thank you. Compressed air. I charged the tank to full, then cranked the regulator open all the way, so had 150psi at a blast, and i used a blaster tip with a very small hole. They were mainly dusty. I wasnt going to risk going in there with a rag and smudging everything.

What new tools have you got lately?

Hey, what if you (me) filled the tank with water most of the way some im only compressing maybe 100 gallon of water, and just have a vapor trap on the outgoing line... If you plumbed the bottom too, i could have pressurized water at my shop too, hmmm, hahaha.

What new tools have you got lately?

Hmmm, hadn't though about using a car engine, cool idea. You could plumb to the spark plug port, and remove the exhaust valve pushrod, just run the intake valves. Yeah i was thinking that might be overkill too, but right i could be possible. Have been looking for an old compressor tank to do...

What new tools have you got lately?

Hey, thought for you Mr Ricko... You seem to be a master at repurposing old tools... A friend of mine has a 500 gallon propane tank, that he doesn't have any use for caise he uses wood, as do i. I had this crazy idea of making a giant air compressor out of it, for my shop, so i can paint...

What new tools have you got lately?

I did the same thing on mine. I put on a quick connect fitting on the tank, just so i can run a little air tool or use the blaster on the go, but i also have a short double male ended curly air hose, so when i charge the compressor, it does both at once.
