    This is probably a bad idea, but I'm too cheap to pay for a tow.

    I towed one of my duece and half with our 94 yukon once. Dead in the water, 4 flat tires, 14k pounds, but once it was rolling, not too bad. It wast too far, but still, it did it and i was impressed. 4 low and nice grippy tires helps too.

    Thats not exactly true about tye core support on all trucks. Some yes, mine no. I recently swapped core supports on my 87 K20. That truck was a factory single headlight, as was the core support I put in, but it was set up to run either. it had the bolt plates for the plastic parking lamps...

    Id say what everyone is saying. Smaller, lighter starter (vortec age mini are great) mount the one bolt the best you can with some locktite, tighten the other 2 the best you can, and hope for the best. Another option that i didnt see anyone else say, is, you could get an older bell housing...

    Oh okay thanks. I curectly have 12 volt key on power to the electric choke on my edlebrock. It seems to be working. Sounds like the solution to choke light issue is just pull the bulb, haha. Sounds like to much of a pain to figure out.

    Oh i plan on it. I dont like red trucks. Theres not much left of the red, just the cab. I want to paint it the dark metallic silver that the insde of the doors are. Thats one of my favorite colors.

    Oh okay, Didn't seem normal. I figured it would have a slip so it wouldn't read backwards. I often go backwards alot, and sometimes quite quick, will that hurt it, or snap the needle?     So I recently got my 86 GMC running and driving again. After driving around a bit, i relized some of my gauges don't work. Speedo is working fine, except for the fact that when i go backwards the needle goes backwards. No idea why. Oil pressure seems to be working fine, reads 40ish on cranking...
