    Brake size 11" or 13 ?

Just looked at my 1986 3/4 ton build sheet. It has the C6P option, but no listing for brakes. I'm going to assume that the C6P package included the HD brake package.

What new tools have you got lately?

Young guy brought one these Lincoln's (Thanks for setting me straight. If I had a brain, I could be dangerous) to the parts store where I worked years ago. It was his grandfathers', who had bought it new in 1949. Found a Wix oil filter for an oil change. Wix also makes a fuel and air filter...

What new tools have you got lately?

Looks like an old Miller SA-200. Built like like a brick s**t house, and tougher than a Sherman tank. Check the glass fuel filter, and the fuel tank itself.

    MACHINING 16.5" DOWN TO 16"?

I went out in the barn to look at some 16.5 factory GM rims (steel, 8 lug). It is stamped on the wheel plain as day "Do not mount 16" tires on this wheel". The bead seat design is totally different for 1/2" size wheels. 1/2" tire sizes are for commercial applications (heavy duty)...

    GMC grill questions

I'm late to the party. This is a photo of my '83 Crew Cab 3/4 ton. It's a Sierra Classic (Silverado in Chevy line). Sierra Classic of course had quad headlights, and my grille has the removable letters.

    Obligatory New Guy Post

Welcome to the forum from N. Texas~!~ Part of the joy in any antique restoration project is the treasure hunt process for finding those "unobtanium" parts. I own two of the '88-'91 Burbs, both 4WD, both dark blue interiors. It is sometimes frustrating to not be able to get parts readily from...

    Best Door Hinge Lubricant

Whatever penetrating oil spray can that still has a wand installed. The old t-shirts your wife chucks in the trash are now your over spray clean-up devices. I do mine every oil change as a minimum, more often if the winds blows a bunch of dust and other S. Texas junk our way.

OMG! I know where I'm going this weekend.

Would love to have that sand painting coffee table. Don't know where I'd put it though, there's not much room in the doghouse once I'm in it.

    New member. 87 V20 Stepside

Amen. As I mentioned in an earlier post, The USAF preferred step sides as flight line vehicles. Don't know though how many were 1987 models, but the military went through vehicles like we change socks.
