Ended up getting the horn fixed which was nice but I never did figure out where that clip went. I just didn't see anything that was going to hold it in place. I have been trying to find some videos on YouTube where they remove the rack but I don't see any clips there.- TX87R10

What size press (12 or 20 ton) for automotive
Well I need a press and there is a 12 ton for under $200 at harbor freight. There is a step up 20 ton as well but it's about $250. Yeah there was, with your direction I got the first one in place which was the one for the dimmer switch. The second one is the one I can't figure out where it goes, I'll repost the picture of it for reference but you mentioned it was to keep tension on the rack -- TX87R10

@Ricko1966 maybe :) I would be finished with the repair but I'm wondering if this was supposed to be on top of the rack itself or something. When I opened it up the rack was shattered so I didn't get a good look at how it is supposed to look- TX87R10

Alright well i guess my wires were pulled out the same the housing just needed a little wiggling. Got it off and got everything replaced. Putting it back together and I just installed the upper bowl and realized I have an extra piece!!!! Anyone able to tell what this was supposed to be guiding?- TX87R10

Welp @Ricko1966 you were right I got dow. To where I can. See the rack and sector has broken. The gear part looks good but when I turn it I can see the aluminum part has snapped in half. Will get one on order now thanks for your help- TX87R10

Well I was stuck at the store with no tools and no way home so tow was the only route. There was zero resistance when moving the key inside the lock so I'm not sure but I was thinking since the lock cylinder is like $25 and the ignition switch is $20 maybe I should just go ahead and grab both...- TX87R10

@Ricko1966 welp the temp button for the starter is working great but something just broke presumably in the lock cylinder because the key is loose in the lock when turning back and forth and no power to anything besides the starter. I think you are right. It was a poor connection to on the solenoid. I redid the wire with an eyelet and made sure the ignition wire in is not part of the equation anymore. I did check connections, grounds, batteries, etc... I think the underlying issue is in the ignition switch but the...- TX87R10
