Bottom A/C compressor unthreaded holes vibrating

I found the source of my vibration at idle and it's a missing bolt or smth in the bottom of the compressor. It seems like the hole extends all the way across the compressor to the bracket but there are no threads anywhere. I searched far and wide and I think there is a bolt of same sort with...

Diagnosing A/C not recirculating on mac

I pulled the kick panel and tested and the blend door is not working of course, then I had the bright idea to test other modes and realized it's not going in to defrost or anything. Going to do some more research but figured I would share I. Case it's something obvious

Diagnosing A/C not recirculating on mac

Hey everything has been running good in my A/C until a few days ago the max setting no longer seems to recirculate air. Does anyone have a link to a good diagnosis thread here? I tried searching around but no luck yet. A/C blowing, it's cold, just feels like the door to recirculate is not...

New coil springs too strong? Can't connect upper ball joint

That is how I held it in place while jacking it up lol Its hard to believe how strong zip ties are sometimes. I bet that actually worked too.

New coil springs too strong? Can't connect upper ball joint

I am a big sissy I guess. I saw a couple spring compressor videos where the springs shot out like a helicopter or like a bullet. I can't imagine losing a finger or hand of even worse to a mistake anyone could make easily.

New coil springs too strong? Can't connect upper ball joint

By the way I got the spring to seat top and bottom pretty easily without a helper by zip tying the bottom of the spring in place and the top really close and then as soon as it started to pinch I gave it a couple soft hits with a rubber mallet and it seated. I watched a guy trying to use a...

New coil springs too strong? Can't connect upper ball joint

I said it wrong the first time by the way I was hitting the bumper on the bottom of the UCA and thought the bushings were what was holding it back. You were 100% right they were not tightened to spec yet.

New coil springs too strong? Can't connect upper ball joint

Yeah good call... The only chain I have is not rated for more than 1200lbs I don't think and hardware store is gonna be $90 for a chain rated to do it... Probably better to put the old spring back on and pay someone to change it with the right tools

New coil springs too strong? Can't connect upper ball joint

I finally got my spring seated in the top pocket and the bottom on the LCA. I was so happy I started jacking my truck up, put the spindle back on, jacked it up more to connect the upper...... And then I realized the spring is so strong right now it's picking the truck up off of the...

    Sheered upper control arm bolt

Not gonna lie there is a midget on my shoulder telling me to shave the shims to fit because it's far cheaper and possibly more reliable than the 40 years old bolt in about to pay $100 for

    Sheered upper control arm bolt

The saga has entered hour 14 of rebuilding my front suspension on a whim...... Squarebody graveyard guy called me back late at night looks like I might be getting the right part in the morning if I play my cards right... Only problem is I have no way to get there to buy the part  let's...

    Sheered upper control arm bolt

Well fugg the replacement bolt has a slightly larger diameter than the stock one on the shoulder and the shims don't fit anyway.

    Sheered upper control arm bolt

I like the idea but the only bolts the local part stores have found are not 1/2" 20. I'm not sure how to get them to find the parts as OEM is discontinued they all say. The bolt is 1/2" 20 (fine thread) and 3" long, splined and then shouldered.. I have doing the shocks and all the bushings...
