FOR SALE: 81-91 low hump carpet kit (KC area preferred)

Looking to sell this kit to someone local because shipping will be $$$ on this. This is a carpet kit for an 81-91 3+3 with a low hump. It’s BRAND NEW from Stock Interiors. Based on the info entered when I ordered they sent me the wrong carpet (I needed the high hump kit since I have a 91 with...

    Write up: Gas Tank Relocation

I’m gearing up to do the 40 gallon Burb tank in the dually.

Finally snagged a fuel injection emblem.

It’s different depending on some variable I’m not aware of. Mines on passenger side on my dually and was on my 87 Burb, too, and I’m very certain both have been in their location since factory

    Show your daily driver

2008 Malibu. Not a bad little car. Miles and price were right so here we are. Bought it off and old lady who’s been friends with my parents for decades. They called and asked if I was interested. I said yes. The lady, knowing I have a tendency to sell cars, even said she didn’t care if I flipped...

    Need New Diff Cover. Suggestions?

Just re-looked and the sway bar is within an inch (maybe 2) if that rear cover so I think that settles things for me. Not a bad idea that I hadn't thought of :waytogo: Might give this a whirl because I really do want to be able to drain and refill without having to take the cover off and put a...

    Need New Diff Cover. Suggestions?

Yes, I've got a rear sway bar. Good point on having enough room. I'll have to go back out to look as I don't remember being a ton or room between the stock cover and the sway bar currently. That's a bummer. May have to just clean up the stocker and throw her back on :(

    Need New Diff Cover. Suggestions?

It is. Good to know. That makes it easier as I search. Obviously, the main things I'm looking for as I upgrade is the drain plug and looking for an aluminum solution. Just didn't know if there was a specific cover the people liked over others. I'm not interested in over paying just for a brand...

    Need New Diff Cover. Suggestions?

Rolling on the ground recently and noticed my rear diff gasket needs replaced. Figured while I was at it I'd upgrade to diff cover. I'm finding a few solutions out on the interwebz but figured I'd ask you fine folks to see if you have any suggestions on solutions that were super awesome :) My...

    Vibration under acceleration...

Found a shop this morning that wasn't book a couple weeks out or more. They are to take care of me next week so I'll let them fight it. Shop is only about 10 miles away so I think she'll make it that far without issues and I've used them a few times in the past for various things and trust them...

    Vibration under acceleration...

2 votes for u-joints makes troubleshooting 100% complete. Now I'm going down that rabbit hole! :happy175: Thinking I'll probably crawl under there, check them out and if I can confirm I'll snag the driveshaft out and have a shop do the work. I HATE fighting u-joints and they're most likely...

    Vibration under acceleration...

In my Burb ('90, 2wd, lowered,....) I've recently, within the last 2 or 3 days, developed a vibration when accelerating between 30-35 MPH. Seems to smooth out once i get near and above 40 mph. If I let off the gas while the vibration is happening the vibration goes away. My burb doesn't have a...

Need ideas for a modern steering wheel.

You're being a little dramatic. At some point, all things get hot. At some point, you gotta prepare for it. Throw a towel over all the things and keep the sun off them

Need ideas for a modern steering wheel.

I had a Forever Sharp wheel in my 87 burb and loved it. Those concerned about the wheel getting hot and all that need not worry. I never had the problem in my time owning the wheel and mine one of the all black wheels with the half wrap. You won't be sorry if you go with them :waytogo:

    O'Reilly sux balls !!!

That's why I always choose my own parts online (if I need them immediately and can't order from RA) and walk in with the part number ready. That way, if there's a screw up it's on me and I don't feel the need to get heated at the "parts guy" who may or may not even know a thing about cars. Just...

    O'Reilly sux balls !!!

My only place local to me where I can get keys for my older rigs is The Lock Doctor. The small town hardware stores have all closed and Ace, Lowes, HD,..... can't even find anything older than 2003 :(

    O'Reilly sux balls !!!

For sure, because you need parts now in a shop scenario. Rock Auto only really makes sense for the guy doing his own work unless the guy has customers that don't care about timelines of getting their ride back.
