Finally snagged a fuel injection emblem.
It’s different depending on some variable I’m not aware of. Mines on passenger side on my dually and was on my 87 Burb, too, and I’m very certain both have been in their location since factory -

Just re-looked and the sway bar is within an inch (maybe 2) if that rear cover so I think that settles things for me. Yes, I've got a rear sway bar. Good point on having enough room. I'll have to go back out to look as I don't remember being a ton or room between the stock cover and the sway bar currently. That's a bummer. May have to just clean up the stocker and throw her back on :(- Old77

It is. Good to know. That makes it easier as I search. Obviously, the main things I'm looking for as I upgrade is the drain plug and looking for an aluminum solution. Just didn't know if there was a specific cover the people liked over others. I'm not interested in over paying just for a brand...- Old77

Found a shop this morning that wasn't book a couple weeks out or more. They are to take care of me next week so I'll let them fight it. Shop is only about 10 miles away so I think she'll make it that far without issues and I've used them a few times in the past for various things and trust them...- Old77

Now I'm going down that rabbit hole! :happy175: Thinking I'll probably crawl under there, check them out and if I can confirm I'll snag the driveshaft out and have a shop do the work. In my Burb ('90, 2wd, lowered,....) I've recently, within the last 2 or 3 days, developed a vibration when accelerating between 30-35 MPH. Seems to smooth out once i get near and above 40 mph. I had a Forever Sharp wheel in my 87 burb and loved it. Those concerned about the wheel getting hot and all that need not worry. I never had the problem in my time owning the wheel and mine one of the all black wheels with the half wrap. You won't be sorry if you go with them :waytogo: -

That's why I always choose my own parts online (if I need them immediately and can't order from RA) and walk in with the part number ready. That way, if there's a screw up it's on me and I don't feel the need to get heated at the "parts guy" who may or may not even know a thing about cars. Just...- Old77
