Old77's 1989 S10 tinkering project
So....S10 barely got me to work this morning and by the time she got here she was low on power. Temp gauge was high but she has all her coolant and nothing overflowing or bubbling. There was some smoke coming from the cap on the valve cover so I know the oil was hot but I would expect that to be...- Old77

Makes perfect sense. I consider my skills in the area "decent" but I've got a cousin local to me that I trust and he's done a 4 link on his bagged F-100. So I'm probably going to hit him up to do this in his driveway.- Old77

There's a tahoe in my area with that swap. I don't necessarily dislike the "cat eye" clip but I enjoy the 01-02 clip better or Denali clip better in that generation. It's not 36mm. I've got that in my toolbox and was way too small. I went and bought a 38mm 12 sided socket. It, too, was way too small. Was helping the boy replace axle seals this morning and got tripped up on a odd axle nut. Don’t have the tool to get this guy off and have never seen an axle nut like it and also couldn’t find another like it on the Google box. Even a 38 MM twelve sided socket wouldn’t fit over this guy. Dually guys, need your opinions!
These are the reasons I'm SUPER paranoid about my dually fenders. Whether it's some jack wagon who hits me or say I let my wife drive the truck for some reason and she runs a fender(s) into post or something LOL I'd have a coronary! -
