I’m interested in swapping out the TH350 for a 700R4
I'm in the process of installing a 700R4 between a 400sbc/NP203 in my 76' K20. I went with Gearstar for the transmission and they built it to handle the torque (Level 3). I'm extremely happy with the kit and quality of the work so far. I haven't driven it yet, so that review will come later...- legend57

Fixing vapor lock now that I barely made it home, experience with 3 port filters?
Before you start changing things, you may want to add a fuel pressure gauge near the inlet of the carb to monitor. Check it occasionally during a drive and see if it changes. I have a mildly built 400 in my '57 Chevy and just did a compression test on all cylinders just to check engine health. With the engine cold, all 8 cylinders ranged from 170-180psi. Electric Fan Conversion
I had a very good experience with replacing my clutch fan in my 1993 Chevy K3500 with a 454. I used the Flex-A-Lite direct fit dual fan with controller set up. How close are the aftermarket doors?

I've experienced the same failures in the past. Always used the thermal paste, but still had failures with store brand modules. I stick with AC Delco because they tend to last longer. I still keep a spare in the glove box. I found this interesting article...- legend57

I think you were referring to the 700R4(?). Yea, I know they are definitely on the delicate side. My personal experience with a 700R4 behind a 400SB has been pretty good for about 20 years in my '57 Chevy. I know its a different beast, but I sure love that overdrive.
