Step side trucks are the ugliest trucks ever. sell the bed and get a fleet side like the cool guys!!
On the other hand LOL, here is my 86 :happy160: Welcome, looks like a fun build. Take lots of pics!
here it is in action
OK, UPDATE. I remember before I swapped intakes that I did not have my heater hoses hooked up because
my heater core was leaking. Still never ran at or close to 210 degrees. here is what it looks like now.
So I had a edelbrock 180 laying around waiting to install on the 80 Z28. I used it just...
This is not the stepper with LS swap. my bad, This is the k204x4 with a Gen 1 350. original did not have a bypass. old intake is gone.:smoke2: im pretty sure I just need the correct T-stat since it works great without.
So what should I do to keep it under 200degrees? should I start with a 180 Tstat? or go lower?
the price of a Tstat are 18+ dollars I dont really want to experiment with to many LMMFAO! :driver:
1985 k20. 350/400
Long story short, I put a new intake on last year. The truck constantly ran at 210 anything over 55/and above MPH. 35/50 MPH I run like 200 deg.
I NEVER had this problem before intake swap. Here's the deal. I went to my local auto parts and ask for a factory thermostat. I was...
So true  To late on a pic of the drums, I already used a sander on them, clean them up and reinstalled.
They were good cause the guy at the brake shop said both drums had plenty of meat on them!
Turbo4whl, Are the drums better then the disc? I would think so since they are HUGE. I said Disk's because the whole kit cost as much as a complete drum rebuild. Shoes alone are $113.00
Not warped LOL. They could use a light skim cut. But still fine. I cant find No One In Houston who still cuts drums.
Most place will only turn rotors and the car drums (smaller). Mine are still good enough to reuse. I just wanted new
ones while I was at it. But all the negative reviews on...
If you only knew the BS I'm going through to find GOOD replacements. Mine are still thick, but NO one will turn them. Might just reuse them. I wanted them perfectly flat since the shoes were new including wheel master cylinder and hardware.
So Whats a good shock? Monroe? I was looking at the same one's I have on the stepper
from KYB. Its a great shock.
Then I found these ones also.
So whats good for a K20 4x4 with no lift?
I have never replaced shocks since I owned the truck. So I know they are bad. Its time to swap them out.
What I need to know is, is there a special shock I should use being I have leaf springs front and rear?
here what it looks like now.
For those of you in the storm, I hope all is well. We took a good hit and still out of power. Lots of damage. Hope all is well. SUPER SCARY SH&T.
I have looked online and read threads. I want to hear from people who have done this and have a good working system. There is just to much...
Awesomeness man, thank you so much. Great info. I'm in south Texas 60 miles from the gulf. I don't think I'm in high elevation. I wanted the one I posted cause it's a higher # for CFM. I am to get into HVAC residential and commercial, but wanted a vacuum that I can use on cars also. I don't...
I am going to buy a A/C vacuum pump for auto/truck. They have so many options when it comes to CFM.
from 3.5 to 9.5. is the highest # the best to have. Its obvious the higher the CFM the more $$$$$ the unit is.
Im not a HVAC tech so I dont know is CFM matters or not, other wise im going to buy...
