I have Original front rotors?? I need replacements. 1' or 1.25 Look inside!
I think I still have original front rotors, WOW. I say this because the rotors have holes in them like originals. I never seen replacements with holes. Any way, I am finally getting around to putting in the Performance gear box. I seen my brakes and rotors are really bad. Time to swap out for...- Nasty-LSX

1999 VORTEC 454 with carb swap.What thermostat to use??
As some of you might have seen I was having issues with the cooling system on my 86 C10. I was running a 180 thermostat but just curious if I should run something in the 195 of higher range. Or if 180 is the norm for big blocks to use? truck is only used to to drive around and used to pull a car...- Nasty-LSX

Thanks guys. Its a 1999 vortec with a reverse water pump. This was running perfect 1 month ago. All of a sudden this issue just started.- Nasty-LSX

here is a update. took rad cap off and the hose will not collapse, but water shoots out like a fountain at only 195F look close and you really dont see water coming out of the radiator cores. Thermostat is next to be removed. My guess will be the thermostat for the fact there is very little...- Nasty-LSX

I have seen the lower hose do this (not on this truck) I have never seen the upper hose do this. I was going to pull the thermostat out and see if it was sticking, but wanted to wait till I got a response from this great forum. has this happen to anyone else. I have 180 thermostat in it. Are you talking about the sensor in the picture? That sensor is for my Autometer gauge im using to keep an eye on the temps till I get the right sensor for the factory gauge. Going to try part # rustisbest mentioned.- Nasty-LSX

Yup, this is a hard one. Rust and Bucket, The problem now is the SB was pulled and sold. So I cant go back and get the original temp sensor. Second problem is The BB temp sensor size is much bigger. So I'm thinking I need to find out what the gauge ohm's are and try to match that to a new one...- Nasty-LSX

I wanted to build a c10 long bed for my 18FT car hauler. and as a general mule truck. I have everything working like it should in this truck. Yes, its a tire smoker from hell. The only reason I used a BIG BLOCK was because it was a 1999 VORTEC. I have had REAL good luck with the SB and BB...- Nasty-LSX
